If we had single payer in the USA, how would people like William McGuire(Unite Health) make over $1 billion(salary plus back dating stock options) in 2006? Sure he was "let go" when this found out, but he kept most of the money and received a 1.1 billion dollar golden parachute. Wonder how many claims were denied by United Health to pay him out that much money? How many people died so he could get the money? How much money did Mcguire give to elected officials to keep the status quo?
