Is the tuning of the guitar like THAT important? Or is it one of those things where if you want to get he EXACT sound you should tune it the way it was originally played?

@viktortsoi2 the tuning used for this song is what makes the song work, you can do a very good cover of this song just like in this vid by only dropping to B,  or just go for it in standard, the notes will sound way out of place, a decent fixed bridge guitar will easily drop to B and hold that tune for weeks, my 80 dollar pawn shop esp ec 50 has been in B for 6 weeks now with a set of DR dimbag .50's on it, and it sounds killer. just give it a shot,,

The very last notes were placed a bit wrong, but I figured it out anyway :)

Btw, how do you do that high pitched sound in the intro? Some say it's 6th fret on the A string and some say it's on the D string(on standard tuning in this case) :S

@ThaThing1337x its called a pinch harmonic....after picking the string,u gotta brush ur thumb against the picked string almost simultaneously;what that does is it stops the string from vibrating which gives u that high frequency sound.

its done on the 6th fret of the d string here

that was a good lesson. thanks. the only problem is the lighting isn't that good. try maybe to get the light in front of you not behind you. and also the angle of your guitar made it hard to see what you were playing. other than that it was good. 4.5 stars.
