I totally agree. Whether you believe in human-caused warming or sun flares, there's no doubt that the environment is serious trouble. You would think that people would act in their own best interests and want to do something about it. Unless we all make drastic changes to our lifestyles - particularly in developed countries, we're not going to survive much longer.
if we are warming the world or the world is warming us - we are all going to face the problem... if you take a step back you may see the regime you live under is like many others - rich and poor - where do you think you are? if you're poor think again, the impact it is having on the real poor...
why deny - shouldn't we be trying to work out how to stop the world warming up.. and doing something about it fast -

REAL NEWS is real BS on global warming...they have been about as biased on this topic as you can possibly get. This last "newscast" felt more like a infomercial....I bet if you look far enough into it the rockefellers are funding this propaganda.
If you look into it global warming is outpacing predictions. Shitheads like yourself who don't know the first thing about science are to blame for the US dragging its heels.
That's BS! That's just more lazy a sideline chant! Get active! Don't be such a defeatist, change the way policy making works. Make it work for you and, and the world. Apathy is what got us into this mess.
"It doesn't matter that they're doing good." WTF? Obviously it does matter. Any good, or bad, that's done... matters.
I am simply curious about the economic implications of raising taxes on oil companies by 13 billion. Have the reprecussions been researched? I mean how much will the american dollar lose value by such an action(please dont be so naive to believe it wont). Also research has proven that "biofuels" create more pollution than they cut. What say you on these matters?
Plus, biofuels compete with human food (corn) and cattle feed (corn AND milo), so corn products and beef prices go up. You have to factor that in as well. And that part of the story is often missed. Biofuels are promoted as "green" but the complete picture isn't so rosie.
The bill isn't about biofuels! It's about reducing emissions and raising fuel standards. The picture isn't rosie because we've dug a hole for ourselves, and now we have to break our backs to get out of it.
Side note: Corn fis mainly used for some of the unhealthiest foods humans consume. Americans would likely beat obesity if we never consumed another once of corn products.
When it comes to the planet, there is no escape. We will all share the same fate if we do not do something.

It was not a raise in taxes it was the repeal of tax cuts but that got kicked out of the bill anyway.
