  • question sj3 or sj33, the sales man says the sj3 have better specs than sj33? is it true?

  • @007Scapula SJ 33 is the newer version of SJ3. They only differ in impedance but almost the same specs. SJ 33 is the latest reincarnation of the SJ3 but it was released first than SJ3 which resulted in a lot of confusion. Sj33 has 48 ohms while Sj3 has 32 ohm. This is the same argument between SJ55 and SJ5. I doubt that SJ3 will sound better than SJ33.

  • na-try niyo po ba yung Marshall Majors? Any comparison with sound quality?

  • @poiXquared I did not tried Marshall Majors. However there is a lot of YouTube reviews on this and they said it is not good.

  • I have tried Urban Ears, Dre Beats, Skull Candy, Philips, Sony and from my experience, Audio Technica is the best. Indeed, the build quality is plastic-y and the aesthetic is uninspiring. The difference is truly in the sound, crystal clear, beautiful. When you hear music though a pair of Audio Technicas, it's like hearing Chris Martin's voice come down from heaven or having Shakira's booty shake rise from inside you. If you want to feel music, then Audio Technica is the experience!

  • @mycelebrityskin It is true that nearly all Audio Technica headphones look and feel cheap but I'll rather have cheap looking, best sounding headphones anytime.

  • There is something wrong with the comments reply.

  • i'm choosing between this, the sj11 and pioneer se-mj31... any thoughts, bro???

  • @spartafxrs5 Go for SJ 33 or SJ 55. These two are better with great bass and treble which the SJ 11 lacks. I did not try the Pioneer mj 31 but they cost the same as SJ 33.

  • @chunky1x thanks so much!!!! btw, this review's very helpful and precise.. i might go with the sj33, since sj55 is out of the budget.. hahahahhaa

  • @spartafxrs5 Thanks.

  • if only ps3 has an 3.5 audio port. . .

  • @kelvs45 There is a simple and cheap conversion using the AV cable(mono L and R to 3.5 mm socket). HDMI still function and my brother did it in his unit and cost 80 peso.

  • bibili ako nito. sayang 2000 ko para sa fake solo hd(beats) na mahina naman yung right and not that powerful. i think audio technica will fulfill my taste

  • try KOSS PortaPro

    Frequency Response 15-25,000 Hz

    Impedance 60 ohms

    Sensitivity 101 dB SPL/1mW

  • @ohn1n10 I've seen and heard reviews on it and most said it is good but personally I prefer DJ style to full size headphones like Pioneer HDJ 500, Audio Technica ATH M50 or Pro700MK2 and any similar headphones.

  • i have an ath-m50..listened to it for the first time, and played it overnight, and after 24 hours it sounds 100% better than the first time i heard it.. my ath m50 is playing for about 150 hours and the sound quality is getting better and better.. audio technica is the best for me

  • @maverick1313100 M50 is literally the GOD of headphones for its price.

  • i bought this yesterday for 2499. meron pang higher version na SJ55 ata for 3499 pero mahal na masyado for me. hehe. kaya eto na lang binili ko.... naninibago pa lang kasi nasanay na ako sa mga in-ear eh... =] btw, nice review...

  • @mon82792 Full audio quality for SJ33 will come out about after 24-48 hours(burn-in period). Initially it will sound a bit constricted but you will know if you have the full quality if treble fully comes out. SJ 55 has better clarity but not as punchy in the bass. SJ55 has better 3d audio performance and over all sound stage.

  • Where did you buy these?

  • @finalassault Ayala Center Cebu.

  • I'm thinking of splurging sa earphones so I'm stuck between this or the Bose IE2... are these things really all that?

I saw one sa store near me kasi looks kinda cheap naman, though the price is pretty okay. didnt get the chance to test it out.

    How is it so far?

  • @kkjgg112391 Bose IE can never be compared to ATH SJ 33 because they are totally different. The first one is in ear which deliver maximum passive noise cancellation and clear stereo but can cause pressure to the ears and eardrums which results tired feeling after long use. That is why most people will graduate to headphones(on ear, over the ear and around), which gives full sound experience but lacks noise cancelation and some sound leakage. My choice is to test both system.

  • @chunky1x I'm fully aware of that. I'm not a noob when it comes to these things. I just wanted to know if the SJ33's sound really good. the price is just too good to be true

I never even mentioned the word "compare", I said I'm stuck between the two.

  • @kkjgg112391 Every penny counts.

  • @kkjgg112391 I know you have doubts buying sj33. It took me almost 4 months to buy these and end up buying these because Sennheiser HD 428 were not available. What convinced me to buy these when the sales personnel dared me to test it and guaranteed that I am free to return it. Five seconds of testing and these are sold with no regrets.

  • @kkjgg112391 SJ 33 after one month of use, has one of the best sound-stage performance for its price. Bass, mids and treble is loud and super clear. Bass is punchy but not overpowering. Ridiculous amount of clarity that you hear virtually every instrument and even the breath of the singer and guitar plucking with a pick. The looks is cheap, uninspired design that gives you doubts that this sound good but trust me these are insane in performance easily beating the Beats and Bose AE1.

  • @chunky1x Thank you for the very informative response. My brother happens to own a beats studio but I'm not happy with the sound of it. It's too hissy. the noise cancelling works pretty well but I prefer bose QC3.

for the meantime, I'll be buying these nalang pala. the black one to pair with my graphite nano.thnkas again.

  • @kkjgg112391 I forgot to mention that the box for SJ33 is not sealed so you can test it first. Thanks for the complement.

  • Excellent review, thanks!

  • @finalassault Thanks. :)

  • I've listened to these at Fully Booked (free testing unit) it sounded amazing! Though I think I would go for the Sennheiser HD 448 :) but for the price, this headphone kicks ass! Thanks kuya sa review!

  • @405thcenterside Your welcome. :)

  • @405thcenterside Be careful about Sennheiser HD 448. This model has a lot of good and bad reviews on sound quality and I would recommend trying it first because even experts say it is not for everyone. My personal choice would be the Sennheiser HD 428 since this has a ton of good reviews and little bad reviews(no virtually bad reviews on sound quality). I hope this helps. Thanks.

  • @chunky1x Hmmmm, I've seen bad reviews about the HD 448 but I think I can I've asked the staff at SM MoA Astroplus if I could try them out but they said I could as long as I am buying them in the end (which is kind of stupid) But I would see if some stores would allow me to try on both the HD 448 and HD 428, and I'd like to add that the HD 438 and HD 418 look ugly. But I have a pair of Pioneer headphone's that crank up bass pretty well so If the Senns dont do well, I'm still fine with it

  • @405thcenterside Sennheiser HD 448 are suited best for clarity, acoustics and voices. It suffers in playing anything with digital bass and highs like many songs today(good but wanting). Also it lacks bass. Sayang kasi, it looks mature, not too flashy and luxurious. HD 428 can handle all types of song with realistic bass and uber clarity. A big downer is that it feels cheap. Malas talaga kasi, both are wrapped in bubble wrap, so you can never test it without opening the seal.

  • @405thcenterside Also, if you like pioneer, if available try pioneer HDJ 500. It has a detachable cable and really good clear sound and instrument separation with booming bass(distortion free). Best part is that is not wrapped in bubble wrap so you can test it. I really hate Cebu for not selling all the models I've mentioned.

  • @chunky1x actually, we have the same taste in headphones! haha I've been looking between the Sennheiser HD 4X8 model range and the Pioneer HDJ 500s, though the HDJ 500s cost Php 6,000 sa SM :( I'm gonna give that one a try, when I visit the store next! Come to Manila na kasi! :D

Sound quality ng Audio Technica SJ 33 is one of the best(maganda ang instrument separation at clarity) in this price range(kahit ang Philips and Sony nasubukan ko, can never matched this at its price ). Build quality is ok but not as durable as Sennheiser HD 428 which has thicker headband with padding. However SJ 33 has really thick y cable.

  • @chunky1x thanks.. maybe ill go for the audio tech.

  • magpi-peel kaya yung cover ng ear cups in the long run?mukhang synthetic leather e..

  • @darkmesh Synthetic(pleather) leather ho siya. It is best to clean it after use to prevent it from peeling. A simple wipe with soft cloth will do. An occasional wipe with damp cloth will do also. Salt accumulation from sweat will damage this type of padding so maintenance is important. Both cloth and pleather have specific properties and maintenance. Ingat lang sa iyong headphones and both types of padding will last mga 2-4 years of use.

  • meron din ako nito. black!

  • @RAM0Natienza Nice. They are really bang for a buck. Wala talagang headphones na this good in this price point.

  • @chunky1x yeah. and the quality of the sound is great!

  • pinoy na pinoy ang accent

    (which is a great thing!)

  • @mahusayaq2nd thanks
