@4Bold well there drums are eq'd and mixed but these sound like a drum set off a keyboard. like the snare only has one dynamic so when he hits it with both sticks it sounds dumb.

Are you guys really bashing on him for using a metronome? Im pretty sure most PROFESSIONAL bands use a click track to record their songs.

Even if this isn't really him playing (which I doubt) All his hits are following the rhythmic pattern of the song.

his drum sound is sampled . i guess the studio he recorded in used the trigger called Drumagog. Look for it in the internet so you guys can understand what we are talking about.

I see. But part of the sound of a drum kit are the resonances of the kit reacting to other parts of the kit as they're hit, and in this recording i don't hear anything like that. the sound very dead and plastic. Could please explain that?

yes i gated the drums pretty heavily to allow for a tighter mix and a more defined sound so it could easily be heard over the backing track

at the beginning, you start playing and the actual drum sounds don't start until about a second later. Either bad video editing, or its fake. i don't know. of all the drum covers i've helped record, none of them sound like that except for the one we sampled the kick on.
