@remocleo The song isn't evil, not in the musical, not here. The song itself is about Elphaba throwing up her hands and saying 'I give up; sure, what the hell, i'm wicked through and through' when it becomes clear that she can no longer convince anyone that she's good. Winnie wasn't like that at all; she was more or less a stereotypically evil Disney villain. Hence, no, the song doesn't fit her.

@remocleo Then either your school's version of Elphaba deviated extremely from the book and musical, or you have not seen this movie and understood Winifred Sanderson's character. My point is this: Winnie Sanderson is evil to the core. She never tried to be good and failed at it. Elphaba did; therefore, the song fits her, but it does not fit Winnie Sanderson. Yes it is from wicked- this song is after the scene fyero is put up in the corn feild for torture until he tells the guards where the wicked witch went. She casts this spell to save him. Then she realizes that she can't do good deeds thus she turns to being wicked.
