  • Thank you my friend!! I was looking everywhere for this!! The thumbnail picture helped a lot

  • David, you helped me a lot. I can't afford to hire a piano teacher and I'm quite a slow learner. Thank you so much for your tutorials.

  • Another great lesson. I think you are the best piano teacher I have seen so far

  • Cross over

  • I'm naturally better at crossing over with my right hand but my left hand is totally useless.

  • Thanks so much for this great video! Literally everything i wanted in one video

  • lol "fingering"

  • Cute boy! I'm Kevin...;)

  • Nice job!

Just wanted to share with you a cool piano gadget recently featured in Gizmag

    Google “gizmag pianomaestro”

  • WOW !!! what a tutorial !!!!! WOWWW !!!!

  • You are teaching me some very important basic things about moving both hands that I previously thought I could never master. Your teaching style is so down to earth I don't feel intimidated. Thanks

  • hi elow!! its so awsome scales...tnx for the scales!!!from the philiphines.....

  • Awww, you're sooo sweet! Thank you. :3

  • Hello sir,

This is the best "How to play piano scales lesson" online.

    Thank you

  • Nice lessons

But seriously quite gay. No offence.

But don't blame it cause left handers are more gay and wierd.

  • @cuityzhuzhu

You are really stupid, this guy is helping alot of people. What does gay have to do with piano lessons?

I don't care if he is gay or fucks trees, I'm just glad that he helped me with some basics.

    Thank you dududavid :)

  • FUCKING GAY !!!

  • Great Tutorial Simple direct and no bullshit

  • @diegosalesjp It's the same, there are 7 notes in each scale, Db major will use some black keys and omit some white keys

  • @cliponutube They are not the same. There are three groups of major scale fingerings, Db is in group 2, and has a different fingering then group 1 scales.

  • Olá, David! Suas lições são ótimas!

    Excelente professor! Estou aprendendo muito.

    Muito obrigada

  • Olá! David suas lições são ótimas! Excelente professor!

    Muito obrigado.

  • Thanks this really helped. I learned it all in one day, just a little slow with the Parallel Movement one though. But I'll keep doing it & i'm sure ill get it down. Thanks!

  • It's amazing and quite good, i mean by all means, its perfect for beginners. thanks David. keep it up.

  • I like you shirt David.

  • @dududavid

Great video. I'm curious, however, about the fingerings for other scales that use a lot of black keys such as the F# major scale or even a C minor scale.

  • @ninjastep87 Yeah I was wondering about that too. You do the same thing. Sets of three's & four's although it's more challenging than playing in Cmaj. You'll get there as long as you practice.

  • I suck =_=

  • Oh my gosh, "the pink" Haha!!! he is so cute!!! Thanks David :)

  • This is same way as I teach! Leading hand does 3, following hand does 3, leading hand does 4, following hand does 4, etc Then same going down. Good teaching!

  • i am a beginner, day1, and this was amazing, you covered so much but explained it real well. i have a really good feelings about this. thanks for the post!

  • "Pink" That's cute. You can say pinky david. Thanks.

  • Why do some people teach this differently with the first and second and first and third fingers?

  • May the Lord continue to look watch over you and all u do and may you remember Him all the days of your bleesed life. God bless you for doing this you don't know how much of a help this is. Thank you again David

  • I can't hold my pinky finger down without my ring finger joining it in my right hand. But I can do it in my left hand. I think this effects my playing with my right hand. Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Good information. But it's a little fast for a beginner. Do it a little slower next time please.

  • Awesome! Thank you David, this is exactly what I needed help with! 5 Stars!

  • excellent thank you a lot. keep up the good work

  • This is the best beginner vid I've seen. A lot covered.

  • thx, you are my piano teacher now.

  • Thanksa lot for this vid. i'm a beginner and this is really helpful!

  • nice ^^ thank you David

  • wow.thank you so much! :DD

  • Thanks this really helped me!

  • 1-2-3

    Crossover

    1-2-3-4

    Crossover

    1-2-3

    Crossover

    1-2-3-4-pinkie

Why does the pattern change for the last iteration? Why include the pinkie only for the last loop?

  • Because since its the last note in the iteration, the pinkie is the easiest finger to use here. No need for unnecessary crossovers (which are difficult to carry out)

  • You have done a really amazing job in explaining the scales fingering.

    Many thanks, dududavid

  • Thank you very much for your help!!

  • "press the pink" made me giggle ^^

  • at first i wanted to say some mean thigns like u looked really nerdy >.> but i have a lot of respekt for you /salute

  • Good job.....

  • thanks thanks thanks i was looking for that

  • Thanks!

I'm having a hard time with playing (diminished/augmented) scales on other roots like Dflat fast, seems like the crossover feels very unnatural on D(flat root)

  • TNX!! very clear and useful...

  • he looks like chez from chasers,

    very helpfull video btw

  • Thank you for your demonstration. It is very clear and precise. Also your unique T-shirt reminds me of the red tie I used to wear when I was a "young pioneer" in my motherland.

  • pssst, favourited
