I support Astarjian here, I'm Kurdish. Although now Van is mostly Kurdish, it historically was an Armenian Kurdish city, I wouldn't put too much faith in Assyrians being from their. Also Kurds and Armenian have a genetic bond that has been tested and proven, and the only factor that separated them historically has been their devotion to different faiths, Islam and Christianity.
