  • For those saying that Colbert is promoting Paul, no, he's not. Remember the line, "If you guess Ron Paul's name, he has to show you how to spin straw into gold." Paul and the gold standard? Huh?

  • The PACs show us, as clearly as anything since the Gilded Age, the complete corruption of the political system. Good reason for a high tax rate on the wealthy: if we don't take their excess from them, rich individuals and their money will enclose the oxygen of our elections with constant ads. The 2010 elections were the first elections under this rule, and it meant wall-to-wall-slander without stop for about three weeks. Subsidies for the TV stations.

  • there should be more colbert's on planet earth.

  • People don’t realize how frightening this interview was.

When he was talking about the supper pacs and everyone was laughing, he was speaking the truth. The rules he stated are real, the rules are insane, and not funny.

  • @Blairtim69 They ARE funny, because politicians and corporations have been doing this forever through shell corporations and intermediaries like the Republican Governors' Association. And with all the money going to the superpacs there's less going to the actual campaigns to hire campaign managers and handlers to coach these candidates on how not to have all these gaffes. Citizens United is actually choking the campaigns rather than supplying them.

  • "I just can't believe that a journalist of your stature would lead with such garbage like that." hahha ahhh yes

  • They cut out the Ron Paul part

  • watch part 2 he says he really likes ron paul for his consistency

  • go ron paul i think he trys to sway votes for paul funny

  • Stephen Colbert makes a mockery of our entire presidential election, and it's the most hilarious thing in the world

  • @DP3mo24hofosho

I don’t think he is making a mockery of the election.

The election rules, conduct of participants, and overall system are a complete joke. The Supreme Court made a mockery of the system; Colbert is just participating in what is already an absurdity.

Just one more clown added to the tens of thousands of clowns already involved.

  • I wonder what the ron paul zealots will do when romney gets the nomination?

Will they blow themselves up in the RNC headquarter? Will they just forget?

  • @Haarez1 They will start spamming comment sections with "RON PAUL 2016!"

  • Colbert is the man

  • Gingrich: ROMNEY IS FULL OF IT. SANTORUM IS IRRELEVANT ANAL LUBE IF YOU ELECT ME I WILL BEAT OBAMA IN DEBATES. HE WILL SWIM IN MY TEARS.

Paul: We need to liquidate the debt or we will never be able to create jobs and stimulate the economy. We need to cut spending and we need to look at the bigger picture. We need to stop spending so much over seas and defend our borders here at home. We need to quit devaluing the dollar and we need to generate a more sound currency.

  • The Paul fanatics fail to understand is that the government is the only think that stands in the way between wealth and your enslavement. Of course the wealthy are trying to buy out the government. To cripple it.

  • Nobody wants to get rid of the government. The idea is to save it by reigning in the wasteful spending.

  • @paulekko Oh we all agree about that, we just disagree about what is wasteful.

  • GREAT edit. keep up the fantastic work.

  • I love Stephen Colbert.

  • This is still BAD editing. What happen???

  • Wow, it's funny to read the comments from Ron Paul supporters.

What's even funnier is they believe their vote will be counted by Republicans in their own primary..

  • @SpitfireOFatj Wait and see!

  • @pstew0809 Oh come on. If Republicans are willing to suppress voting and rig the general election what makes you think for even one moment they wouldn't do it in their own primary?

Wall Street wants Mitt. Establishment Republicans want Mitt.

    Why?

Because he's a spokesman for them.

    That's who's going to win.

  • I love this

  • Stephen, you have no idea how greatful we all are for you! Godbless you!

  • GO COLBERT/CAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrAdamhere

If I was a registered voter in SC I would vote for Cain just so I could vote for Colbert

  • @Scallopshell98 thank God your not, do yourself a favor and everyone else for that matter and vote for Ron Paul

  • vote for Cherman ain.

  • TPM cut out the part where he is in favor of Ron Paul, assholes.

  • @akademetri What is it about Steven Colbert that you do not understand? Steven Colbert supports Ron Paul the same way he supports the Republican party.

  • Unfortunately, Colbert is the only serious candidate in the Republican primaries.

  • "America runs on Starbucks." Thank you Stephen Colbert.

  • @TheGorillamo Is this Warren Buffet?

  • I needed a laugh.

  • cain 2012!!!!

  • Hmm you skipped the part where he endorsed Ron Paul when asked seriously. Here is the part he skipped: /watch?v=ix0ZPnwcTwA

  • He said he liked Ron Paul, that he was intellectually consistent.

So there ya have it folks.

  • Colbert is the best. A Liberal/Progressive (& SC Catholic) who acts like one of the BORG from Fauxed News (laughs). Every episode he points out the Hippocricy" of the Republican Party acting like one of those fools for everyones amusement. His Super PACC was designed to highlite the INSANE "SC - Citizens United Ruling" making FUN of the insanity for the average LOW INFO & I/Q American. Go Colbert !! Even for the RETARDS who don't understand your comedy or the fact your actually trying to help.

  • Colbert is my hero!!!!

  • funny how you left out Colbert's endorsement of Ron Paul. Douche

  • @SolgarTheDestroyer Where can I get that? As well fucking SHAME on tpmtv for censoring the good Dr.

  • @SolgarTheDestroyer And as Ron Paul and his goofy acolytes fade into the sunset YouTube comment sections become much less unpleasant places.

  • @integral You edited it just like CNN & MSNBC . Don't you see this? And we are not fading :) We are shining! Come aboard brother. There is room plenty of room on the freedom train. It's called America :)

  • epic gold!

  • This made my morning!

  • oh man that line against paul was awesome

  • @Fuccyootoo It was funny as hell, but Dr. Paul ftw.

  • @Fuccyootoo Whoever put this clip together cut out the part where he essentially said if he were voting he would vote for Paul.

  • @Fuccyootoo it wasn't against paul...it was actually against the panel...I thought the same at first.... what did you think the joke meant?

  • The greatest troll this generation this decade.

  • @DoctorDoubleX +1

the true definition of a troll
