  • Does anyone know who arranged this piece? I love it.

  • @Haleyjoy0 I'm pretty sure it was Ken Burg - the director.

  • i heard this song in music class...

  • "Haul Away, Joe," has always been my favorite sea shanty. Don't know why, just hits me in the right place, I guess. I've heard many versions and enjoyed them all. But this low key and very deliberate pace, plus the splendid harmonizing by these talented young guys, combine to make this version unusually powerful and moving, for me at least. Anybody else think so? Would love to garner other opinions about this:) --

  • Excellent, delightful version of my favorite shanty:) ---

  • so slow! sorry...i'm used to singing this while sailing and at a much faster tempo.

  • HOLY CRAP i got a solo for this, and im performing this today!!! SO NERVOUS!!! I got the second verse for the solo.

  • That was my bro.'s solo before he aged out.

  • Hauling causes the swaying. Enjoyed this.

  • Who died? Why the funeral music?

  • These guys are like the "ring-tail" cabin boys who serviced the sailors. They should have sung and danced it with no pants on - that's how they'd have done it on the ship!

  • um...that really has nothing to to with this song. but good try. just wrong.

  • well it wasnt as good as the way my choir sang it but i got to give props to the second soloist, he did awesome. i sang that same verse when my choir sang it... except our first soloist was better

  • WOW! you guys are AMAZING!
