  • When i first heard this song, i was 17 i fell in love for the first time, Life was great, being in love was the greatest thing that ever happen'd to me. Ironically the first time i made love i was 18 with the same women and this song just happen'd to come on the radio. Im now 21 and getting married to that same girl and this song is going to be my wedding song. Thank You Bob you have changed my life forever

  • Seger said he wrote this song after watching the movie The Sting....This scene in particular, when Redford is out walking in the middle of the night, and shows up at the door of the woman who was the cashier at the diner he ate at. Redford's character says to her..(from what I remember) "It's 3 in the morning, and I got no where to go". Cool. Great song.

  • What a great song! Music was so much better back then, same for cars (far as looks) and even movies were better! I don't see how the rest of my friends can sit there and only listen to rap, or watch twilight. I wish I was growing up in a different generation.

  • i was in highschool when this song came out. How times have changed for the worse. Never will there be times[or music] like this again. What a damn shame

  • @ruswhit60 His music will be with you forever. You choose to what you listen. Buy his music and put it on you own player and you have it with you wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

  • @ruswhit60 I know man, but I like to stick to hope.... perhaps that's why the songs are timeless. God Bless :)

    Bob Seger forever!!

  • It was in October, 1978 that this song was originally released; Bob Seger himself (born May 6, 1945 in Dearborn, Michigan) was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (in Cleveland, Ohio) in 2004. And quite deservedly so! They just don't write music like this anymore.
