If an MP isn't in his or her uniform, I wouldn't hand anything over. NOO WAY!!! If they are an Undercover or MPI, they need to show their credentials!

Hello Mrs. Rosa. This is nothing new as your son-in-law mentioned and anyone who tries to gain entry onto an installation can be checked. The gate is not the only place and time where MPs can check your identification. We are in threatening times which calls for various protective measures. These measures are all geared towards protecting the people and assets of the installation. I am glad to see that bases are taking these extra measures.

Im at Buckley and they haven't did it here and my sister is at Shaw and she said no one mentioned it. It's probably one of those things they do to mix it up a little. All bases aren't required to do the same thing as far as when there is an exercise in play. They are just running through differnt scenerios.

No it's not done on all bases. We are here at Ft Bragg and it seems anyone can darn near get on base. Sometimes they do random searches and what you experienced is sometimes done in the airports too.

I know for a fact that you can experience that especially in Virginia. Virginia is a commonwealth state. I lived in Virginia for 10 years. My future hubby is a veteran. He used to be in the Marine Corp., and those MP's do stuff like that. At the time when my fiance was a Marine, he was stationed at North Carolina. Girlthey make fake ids for EVERYTHING! They can put Their picture with Your name and some people just look at ther pic and go on. If You didn't know the name on the card and You faked it he would have Caught you. get it?! I know the license number by heart. learned it after my father told me he knew his. I'm good with numbers so it wasn't hard.hubbyy and I aren't together anymore but I also know ALL numbers relating to Him. We all just gotta be cautious nowadays. Everything is a number . cont'd

My best friend just got married to someone who is in the military. Their stationed in Richmond Hill, GA and I haven't heard her say anything like that to me.

Not mil dep , but I have had my purse stolen and when the theives went on shopping spree didn't nobody look at the pic on my ID or ask any questions .and I had a 3 files full of fraudulent charges ok . So at least they ask and check u . In stores nothing.

They bought gas for all their cars ,mall, grocery,rented movies etc..

they do that to see if you drunk or high just trying to throw you off i mean they suppose to do that all the time but they do it when they feel like bugging you when i stood watch they told us to do the same thing i cant remember what drill they doing but that aint nothing new they just preparing for whats to come but all i can say is keeps your eyes open cause its coming
