  • @missbrittflem break it off and throw it away....

  • This band defiantly did not get enough credit for their talent Awesome Awesome band!

  • @Daprotoge13 Why? I mean in any article or whatever written or spoken about prog metal history this band should be (and mostly is) noted as one of the pioneer of the genre. Ask any true metal fan to name 3 prog metal band, at least 95% of experienced fans should name this band among them. Is it not enough? I thinks it's awesome. If you mean in terms of sales, then the world is unfair in music business.

  • lead guitarist Michael Wilton is doing an exclusive interview with Fret12

  • it sounds like pull me under by dream theater

  • Every commercial that comes up on my favorite videos - I will REFUSE TO BUY! I don't care if it's a product I love. I will no longer purchase these items.

  • i admit emipe was an awesome album. but what happened everything sucked after that.

  • @davidchil1 same goes here man. empire is my first album of queensryche and i was disappointed when i bought the next one. still empire is the best, all songs are great.

  • The whole CD EMPIRE was great!

  • @heraldleader Absolutely, not a bad song on it!

  • Im going to be jamming on this come tue on guitar hero 6.

  • this song made me a queensryche fan :D

  • @LOL11306

    me too.

  • @LOL11306 For me it was Queen Of The Reich, but I loved this when it came out too, simply awesome

  • 3 times in less that a year seeing this great band play. Go QR!!!

  • What an awesome bassline in the beginning of this song! It is hard to hear it on this video though

  • The perfect "long-distance relationship" love song...

  • I NEVER heard a song who build up the chorus like this this one do. Amazing. I love this band. And if I have to chose a song who I think is best with this band it is this one. But there are so many other great tunes too. Geoff is the KING.

  • Really? 4 people dislike this song?

  • yeah there pretty cool im gunna see them and cinderella at oregon state fair cant wait

  • @EvilMegaDeath Im going this thursday at the Colorado state fair

  • From 1-10, a negative 5.

  • honestly one of the best songs ever written, from ANY band. no debate.. going to see them in chicago in october. cant wait..

  • Any1 frm Pheonix Arizona,,,1991????

  • Listen up, kiddies.

This is REAL music, right here. Good ol' Queensryche.

    Not today's bull-crap.

  • TODAYS MUSIC IS FAKE 90% IS COMPUTER EDITED OR SYNTHESIZED

THE ONLY TRUE BAND OUT THERE TODAY IS COLDPLAY BUT THIS IS WAY BETTER

    QUEENSRYCHE IS ORIGINAL TALENT

THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER BAND LIKE IT

  • @chinchillaman1 dude listen to some fuckin' metal look farther then only coldplay

  • @pocketshaman im talking about todays music

I know all of the 80s 90s metal bands

but today the only music thats good is coldplay, I dont really like todays metal

  • @chinchillaman1 ow sorry thats your opinion I love everything from classic rock to death metal and really, not everything is modified. your just another wannabe coldplay fan, I bet you like greenday too.

  • @pocketshaman no.... just no..... im a hard core sabbath/def leppard/judas priest/dokken fan

I like coldplay ( i dont like greenday) from todays music, thats it. Maybe u should read my first comment to the end before u critisize (if I spelled that right) me, the last two lines

And i never said anything about metal or rock being modified

Get ur facts straight I meant todays music, black eyed peas, lil wayne, katy perry

    they all use voice synthesizers

  • @chinchillaman1 dude if that's true, then i'm sorry

  • @chinchillaman1 Just thought I'd point this out. But before you judge all modern day music/metal you might wanna look across the Atlantic into some European stuff. I really dislike most US music now days, but I have gradually found more and more genres of metal across seas in Europe that I love. Most seem to be like Finnish or sweddish if I'm not mistaken.

  • songwriting, singing, talent, knowing how to play matters! I was a fan from the instant I took my first Listen... queensryche were so many years ahead of all the bands out there I think listener had no idea what to feel-think etc...

So many bands are now 3 chord, studio productions, cant play with out lip syncin it... But you know what people buy this drum machin, talk filled, nothing

based crap on the radio today who's to say I guess it's the new thing crap called crap music is here to stay!

  • Yoshimitsu4prez can fuk themselves this song is a classic

  • Foarte tare

  • this song sucks my asshole

  • @Yoshimitsu4prez You suck. This song is amazing.

  • @connorma77 lol i just wanted to see what people would say if i said that... its a goodsong

  • I remember when MTV had "blocks" of videos every three hours and this was in heavy rotation on the "rock block" one of my favorites.

  • AWESOME as ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • <3ed queensryche since the day I was born. :) When I was 16 got to see them tour for Operation: Mindcrime about 16 years after it came out. What a miracle for me haha

I would so love to see them someday again

  • guitar hero warriors of rock!!!

  • @arnemeiger lol.

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS EVER......AWESOME SONG...GREAT GUYS...MET THEM IN VEGAS,,!!WAY COOL

  • THEY KICK ASS!

  • I lived it, loved it and still do!!!!

  • Fuckin amazing band!

  • Man these guys can play. Most bands today cant go off with giant solos like these dudes.

  • This is the best song I have followed these guys since the 90's and they are awesome!!!!

  • It just sounds so DAMN GOOD. the voice, the melodic genius, and the brilliant lyrics. WOW we used to get this when we payed for a record back in the day. NOW you might as well throw your money in the street.

  • i saw them the night before my wedding fir the first time. they were so great!!!!

  • The epitome of great!!!!

  • It's great song to get into your car and drive somewhere far, far away... ALONE!

  • Just seen these guys a couple months back at Pieres In Ft Wayne awesome show they still kick ass.

  • This is one of my favourites, Queensryche, Marillion, Fish..... The '80 / '90 were not that bad!

  • MY GOD I wish they still made music like this!!!!!!

  • Killer-vocals by Tate, awesome song all the way through!

  • thanks much

  • Saw them in 05 at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville. Best damn show I have been to. Crowd went insane when they heard that bass line.

  • Sonicbids is the biggest scam out there.. Dont buy into it!!!

  • These guys had the total package. They had two incredibly talented co-lead guitarists, a lead singer who looked and sounded great, and a dynamic rhythm section. Their music was challenging and accessible at the same time. Plus, it was refreshing to see a "metal" band that didn't have the typical "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" theme in their songs. Thematically, many of their songs still resonate with us today.

  • Queensryche is without a doubt the best band ever put together.....real talent by Geoff Tate, De Garmo and the rest of the guys.

  • My daughter is 12 and asked me the name of this band when she heard me playing their Empired disc, she loved it.....nuff said!

  • @MzSunnyJeep You should be proud of your daughter :) We need young generations that love this music style :D

  • one of the greatest bands ever...till chris de garmo left........went downhill fast after that.

  • MITICI Queensryche!

  • Now your one of the best Bands in the world'U guy"s rock1Ive listened 2 you since I was kid...have great week...

  • operation mindcrime is without a doubt the best albulm ever produced

  • you are so absolute man, xexe. i bet you were listening to some songs and made you write this comment. no doubt a great album though

  • great band empire is an album i discover in 2006 really good memories when i listen this album. and the singer a real talent no machines , no effects just talent

  • Geoff Tate just rules!!! I love this video and song!! Hail to Queensryche!!! Geoff...come to Louisiana, please!

  • This is my favorite song and has been since I first heard it. The lyrics, the tune and how the music flows together...awesome. :)

  • I love jet city woman, one of the best song's ever written and sung.....

  • These guys rock! Kick ass vocals

  • SEATTLE RULES!

  • A great song from any era of rock....the guitars are so tight...great drummer....the voice goes without mention....great

  • Its really is a perfect song. Tate's hauntingly beautiful voice which express the passion filled lyrics, stellar guitar work that builds to a heart stopping solo and appropriately pounding rhythm section. Starts slow and builds the listener to a emotional fever pitch. A glorious piece of work.

  • I second your comments. Queensryche is one incredible band.

  • my stepbrother would go "Big Titty Wo-man!"

  • @BuffaloWings99 mine too!

  • rofl... i can totally hear that :P

  • your the air to me too............

  • Fuc8n AWESOME ! ...The singer Mikael from Opeth reminds me of Geoff...a lil..I'm sure Opeth listened to Queensryche...lmao ! Such pure vocals...Ohhhh to sign like that !!!

  • I use too sing like him before I ruptured a vocal chord, and it never healed.

  • I love that Geoff's voice can be used in any genre of music. He has soo much soul in his voice, its a miracle he became a metal singer.

  • They are coming to Reno, baby! I've already got my grubby mitts on the tickets.

  • i had no idea this was by them... i never heard of them before.. how wierd.. i hear this song on the radio all the time..

  • Amazing.

  • So often you get a singer who can't sing the songs live, can't hit the notes or hold the run like on the album..not here. Saw them in concert (front row center) and he hit every note and was AWESOME!! Such a treat. Thanks for the upload.

  • yeah

  • god the thing about syric they sing about the truth and not about stupid shit that no one cares about

  • This is a great song from their best album. The whole thing kicks ass

  • GREAT HAIR!~!~!~!

  • I'm thinking it was just a song about an affair..

  • I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I think it's about the lady of the night who works in the city of Boeing Jets. Hence, Jet City Woman! Anything dealing with Seattle, WA skyline rocks!

  • Seattle is my favorite place in the fucking world!

  • Chris DeGarmo is the best on lead guitar.

  • It was said once the greatest con of the Devil was to convince everyone he doesnt exist.

So much the better the government actually believes it helps as it kills.

This is what I get from this song and QR underlying message. A cradle that is actually a grave.

  • what the hell are you talking about

  • learn your quotes

  • Jesus Christ was real. There's proof in the literature of multiple religions and civilizations. The debate is whether he was the messiah or not. And I'm not getting into a debate on a music video on YT.

Oh, EMI, I considered putting this song on my Ipod because it's pure awesomeness. But I can't even embed this video to show all my friends how awesome it is. Oh well. I didn't need it that badly.

  • Jesus Christ is a fake. Proof is he did exist, but he existed in Egypt 3,000 years before the new testament.

Horus is your Jesus character. He was born of the Virgin Isis. And was adorned by Three Kings, and had 12 disciples, and was crucified. Egyptians created Crucifixions. And he ressurected 3 days later.

Does this story ring any bells?

  • At least EMI actually puts videos on youtube instead of trying to remove them all like the assholes at WMG.

  • My friends and I are only in high school but we all have a a lot of common interests including Queensryche and metal in general! I love queensryche!

  • I dont like anything else this band does but damn what a classic song

  • It' flies on the wings of genius!

  • Dude i could come back over and over again and listen to this song man. QueensRyche is so tight man, i mean they all against the government and everything, and there songs are just danm good.

  • Actually Geoff and Chris (Even if he is no longer with the band.) are both moderately conservative Republicans. 'Operation Mindcrime' was a concept album written to tell a story much like the way 'Tommy' was with The Who. In my opinion Mindcrime is bar none the best Epic album written, but they aren't anti-government because of it.

  • No, i mean like they show the truth of high power govermental lies, such as the needle lies, and Empire, or even spreadign the disease.

  • Revolution Calling... way before their time.

  • That's a danm good song.

  • That's because allegedly conservative republicans are for less government. But when was the last time republicans conserved anything? If I though the political system were actually legit I might be considered a conservative republican too but it's not and I recognize there are no political solutions.

  • Yeah Queensryche hits the scene talking about real issues in their music and all of a sudden grunge inundates the Seattle music scene. Which some grunge bands also look at some the issues but this is also when stadium show ticket sales started dropping and smaller venues became more popular with a the grunge scene.

  • Empire is my favorite Queensryche album. My boyfriend was always pretty stoked whenever he heard me playing Empire because he knew he was gonna get laid. Can I be blamed for fantasizing that he was Geoff? I think not. Jet City Woman, Eyes of a Stranger, The Thin Line, Hand on Heart, and Another Rainy Night (Without You). Sexy, sexy, sexy! X-Box 360 Live has a video from American Soldier and all I can say is Geoff still has it and he still does it for me!

  • Every man should be so lucky to have a rocker chick like you.

  • Come to Mama's Fallen Angels (where 80's metal fans meet) if you'd like to get to know me better. I am girlfriday59 there as well. just do a friend request and voila I will add you, so you already have a friend.

  • Eyes of a Stranger........AWESOME - my fav queensryche song !!.......keep it going hun!!

  • is this the actual video for jet city woman or is this a medley of queensryche videos put together with the lyrics

  • It's the actual video

  • man they rocked. i need some new stuff from them. i know they have the talent! so everyone with me ?

  • Hey WunderKid77 - Us moms know how to rock. The 80's decade was the greatest for music, hair and fun!!

  • Queensryche has been around since 1981.

  • sweet song , great video, Geoff, your vocals in this are well hot! Love this song!

  • The singer looks so retarded but great band and song

  • You are retarded frig num. What does your dumb ass hair look like?

  • Lemme guess. You weren't around in 1990. That was style. That would be almost 20 years ago. They still rock.

  • My mom loves this band, and I do have to say this is a kick ass song!

  • ....your mom?

daaamn...do I feel old now...haha...I think i was around 10 or 11 when I first heard them in 1988 when Mindcrime came out. They had already been around for many years already and I've loved them ever since.

These guys are absolutely incredible - always been way ahead of their time.

  • Moms rock from the 80's too!!

  • Mom upside-down is wow. Mrs. Miller: I coulda kept a secret....

  • Yum,Yum eat him up! EXCELLANT VOICE! One of my FAVORITE!

  • They were out long before "grunge" hit

  • great band from a kick ass town...seattle fkg rocks

  • I dont understand why this band never hit bigger then what they did....I think they came out with the grunge movement and got passed up.

  • Kinda like Skid Row

  • no, these guys came out way before grunges by at least 4 years earlier. grunges were the one that killed their career.

  • They were around since 1981. Alot longer that 4 years before grunge.

  • Ya they had a little success in the eraly 80's then they released Operation Mindcrime and Empire and they hit the big time...then grunge came out (unfortunately) and killed their career...but they are still alive today and just released a new album American Soldier
