Primeape just started to warm up to Ash and everything was going fine. Ash just gave the sh*tty father/trainer a Pokemon he can use to win championships himself. HE wants to be Champion and Ash's Primeape is his easy ticket to that goal. And his daughter & wife wanted him to stop and now that won't happen.

Why does Ash always leave his strongest pokemon for someone else to train?

You guys won't believe me, but when I played Pokemon Gold and reached Pokemon League, my team consisted of Feraligator, Haunter, Ho-Oh, and Primeape. I bought only a few full restores and had leftover lemonades from the traveling. Haunter and Feral was wiped out when I reached Lance, and Ho-Oh was running out of PP. So Ho-Oh had to use "struggle" to destroy Lance's Charizard before dying. My Primeape single-handedly defeated 5 of Lance's Pokemon (including 3 Dragonites). Ash is stupid.

Why did he give away Primeape again? He didn't have any reason to give him up. Primeape would've been a damn good fighting partner. Electric shocks only work so much, darn it.

@TheAeroAvatar He didnt give Primeape away he can call upon him if he wants but Ash never went back for him. I guess Ash isnt allowed to have strong pokemon or something like that. He gave away Pidgeot for god sakes he may be one of his best pokemon. I just think Ash just lack the smarts he needs when it comes to training pokemon.

I agree. I mean, I think he's a little too reliant on Pikachu, so much so that Pikachu is essential the easy way out of every problem he has now, battle or no battle. Not a good balance of power among Pokemon. Then again, I don't consider any of Ash's gang or his foes particularly intelligent. No offense to any fans who feel differently.

@TheAeroAvatar Agreed he didnt give Pidgeot away he set it free and promised to come back for it. Pikachu is such a gamble in battles, so why use him when you never know how it will preform. Pidgeot, Primape, Butterfree, and Haunter were all given away or set free. Ash maybe the worst trainer next to team rocket, I mean I'm tired of seeing him go to League to League only to lose. With the pokemon he has and the attacks they know there' no reason why he should lose.

@payneicecold3000 Exactly, Pikachu is a gamble, one Ash has taken too many chances with even when the odds were clearly against him. And why give away all of his absolutely best Pokemon? Those were his strongest and most reliable Pokemon!

Can't say I know of this losing streak having lost touch with the show, but yes, for all his experience, Ash is still not on top of his game (But I stand by my conviction that Team Rocket is THE worst, not to mention terribly annoying)

@TheAeroAvatar Ash isnt that far away from team rockett, I mean come on Ash has lost every League battle and has not made it to the finals. Now I will admit that the last season the writers fucked Ash over. But with Charizard, Septile, Snorlax, Kingler, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Infernape, Torterra, and so many more great powerful pokemon. Ash just makes me sick at times I just want to see him win the League.

@payneicecold3000 Really? His losing streak is that consistent? If that's not a sign that a fresh team of writers is required, I don't know what is. This is a show where the writers simply are too afraid to deviate from the old ,original formula of the show that clearly doesn't work for the current eps. No originality or surprise anymore, just the same routines.

Sorry, I hate to criticize Pokemon, but the writing's long overdue for a major overhaul.

@TheAeroAvatar Yeah but I will say I like that he is catching more pokemon this season, now I hope they all evolve. I mean think about this Ash maybe the most experience trainer around but have yet to get to the league finals. I just hate that he has yet had a great battle in the finals, okay orange Island was a great 6 on 6, Johoto was a alright 6 on 6. Having Ash battle a trainer with legendary pokemon is alittle on fair. And why wont they let his pokemon evolve.

@payneicecold3000 Well, that's a step in the right direction, his capture quota has been too low, even back in season one when it was all about "catching 'em all". He'd better win a final in the eps to come, so he can showcase how good a trainer he really can be. And yes, let them evolve, let them grow stronger. No reason why his Pokemon should stand out as the only ones with a, stunted growth.
