All my friends went to Europe after undergrad but I thought the best thing for me to do was look for a job. Well I didn't end up finding a job in that short period of time and now that I have one, it is difficult to take the necessary time off. Also, as I get older it's less likely that I will be able to stay at hostels so in a way you are kinda saving money by going when you're young!
You're right you know. You just gotta get out there and experience the world. I can't wait to be able to travel ... I don't think there is a better education than travelling.

My goals this year are pretty much to just get on a Masters course this September and maintain my relationships with friends/family (as you said). I've lost too many close friends over the last year or so.

I just left a comment your other channel about this, but yeah, not being with you family enough isn't good. When my father had an emergency heart surgery three months ago it really made me realize just how special one's family is in the time we have together.
I am soo jealous of you right now. Traveling is one of my BIGGEST passions, unfortunately im to young to do any traveling like Europe, without parental supervision of course haha. Enjoy yourself!

I had a goal in my early twenties and that was to give back to the community by doing volunteer work, it is now 20 years later and I still do the same volunteer work.
I am working diligently on trying to come up with things I want to do I haven't done. I am much older than most your subscribers and I have lived a wonderful, active life. I have always stepped out on the ledge and done what many dream about. The challenge at THIS age is if I wanted to do it...it has been done. I have been spending time "giving back" for the last few years and trying to learn new technologies. I elected to take the adventurous path as opposed to children and grandchildren.
Never in your life will you have the chance to form close relationships with friends that you have now. There'll be a million things to suck up your time and attention later, so do the friend thing right the hell NOW!
Was FUN mentioned? If not, don't forget FUN. It forms and shapes you, psychologically, more than you now appreciate.
Today I saw a couple of documentaries on George Lucas.....why did I think of Dan Goldberg? It's true, I really did. Cheers, Dan!
Good video and good goals. I wish you the best in 2010. I hope you will upload videos, if you're able, in Europe. I know you said you were backpacking , so maybe that won't be possible.
@GrandpaJim777 The four of us traveling are very keen on film and technology so we want to document the trip, even with just a handycam, so you will most likely be seeing some footage from our adventures :D
@wingfoot2004 gahh i was there last year and unfortunately we're not going to have time/money to do scotland as well. we're already jam-packed with destinations; 11 countries and 19 cities at this point. but i LOVED scotland when I went traveling through there, some breataking places in the north and Edinburgh was my favourite place :)
I agree with what you said about doing the things you want to do in live. I think a lot of people let their lives just drag on instead of living deliberate.

And if you get the chance, you should! the four of us are graduatiing in April from university so we're celebrating in fine fashion, and we know we most likely will not get a chance to do something like it again. I already got a taste last year when I traveled through the UK, and now I'm hooked :D
