  • Good machine. Ours was a slightly later model - NEW automatic machines are crap. Use less water. Computer controled, and take 3 times longer..and the stuff does not come out as clean..!!

  • fantastic machine, my mums hoover A3100 made the exact same timer moans and groans, really miss it, thanx for a great vid

    alex

  • can anyone tell me if anyone knows what happened to Electra?

I know they were part of Marloni group but seemingly to have disapeared off the face of the earth

  • this machine Im sure correct me if Im wrong is based on the Hoover A3310. I used to have a A3110 and a A3060 sold them both but wished I never did

  • them motors ran for ever just change the bushes that was it . an the bearing you just changed the hole back dead easy not like now .good video thanks

  • Good machine and thanks for filming it in action. I wondered what the rinses are like as you didn't film them. How many rinses does it do and do they have high water?

  • is that carboard or something on the pump and is there a leakage coz it looked like there was water

  • with the amount of spare capacity in the motor and with some alteration of the coils you could very easily get 1400 rpm out of it

  • Thanks for that very enjoyable I didnt know Hoover made machines for electra. I had a good few years ago around '06 a a3060 and a3110

    cheers Mikey

  • Absolutly immaculate condition!!! The insides are as clean as my A3110 and it sounds identical. Amazing machines really hope mine has a lot of life left in it yet!

  • @richardc1983

Hi Richard, i`m sure you will get many years out of your A3110, parts are still plentiful and many are interchangeable from later machines.

  • hey great vid :-)

Just wondering. You selected E for Minimum Iron 50d* but had the fast spin button in, doesn't then make it a 40d Non Colourfast wash. Just curious haha

  • Hi Matt, I wondered when I`d get asked that..LOL, I wanted the 50d wash and also the fast spin for this vid....the spin selectors or Fabric Care Buttons select the wash action & drum spin speeds, the programmer determines the temperature, so I got 50d temp, cotton wash action & fast spin, if I had selected the 500rpm slow spin, I would have got 50d wash, higher water level, slower drum action & slow 500rpm spin...very flexible really, something you cant do on new machines!!

  • Wow! I really like this machine, you,ve really made my day.Are you recording some more videos of it?

  • Hi Sean, have some more vids to make of the matching dryer and the pair stacked together, glad you enjoyed it!

  • this was the most detailed washer vid that I've seen yet on YT, very well done!

I have a Hoover porta dryer that looks like it is matched with this washer. I like the way the motor sounds in spin, sort of like a Sunbeam Mixmaster.

    Thanx,

    Don

  • Hello Don, yes the way those motors scream!!! its a big motor for the washer, always plenty of spare capacity with Hoover, just listen when it revs up on spin, it surges the power through the motor causing it to overshoot the speed and then drop back to the speed required!!! thanks for watching..
