If you dont like the square face plate and you dont want to put the octogon one, is it safe to just remove it and play without a faceplate for a full circle motion?
Well it still a square, just much bigger. The throw on the stick might be a little to much. You can try it but I would say you'd be better off just getting use to the square.
huh. I tried screwing my wii ball onto my JLF and it didn't really work nearly as well as I thought. it was slightly too tight, and wouldn't go down all the way...
Are you possibly from Maine or Boston? By the way, thanks alot for this, I assume it will be the same for a FS3. I got one on discount from my work at gamestop. Yay for 29 bucks.
I'm from newfoundland canada... and yes it's pretty much the exact same as the FS3. The colors are different and it has a PS3 PCB, other then that it's pretty much the same.
Are you putting a JLF in it? You can take the shaft straight out with the ball top still on it. You have to remove the e ring on the bottom(little piece of metal holding the actuator on). Once that is taken off you can just pull the entire shaft up and out. I added an annotation at 2:47 that shows where it is.
Do you still have those hori buttons? Could you do a favour and see if the sanwa microswitches will fit in the hori buttons?

They *do* fit. However the fit is not perfect. It actually feels worst then the stock hori button.

Ah. so a 'lazy' mod would be pretty pointless then. oh well.

my balltop cant be unscrew...I tried doing it and its stuck to the stick...
kaizen05 2 years ago
Did you put the flathead in the bottom and twist both the screwdriver and balltop in opposite directions? Give it more force. It's only screwed on.
CoverlessTech 2 years ago
yeah i did that..and its so hard that the screwdriver keeps slipping from the screw..the screws kinda worn out now.
kaizen05 2 years ago
Strange. Where you twisting the right way? Lefty loosy. It's only a ball with a nut in it, it shouldn't be impossible to take off.
CoverlessTech 2 years ago
i was twisting counter clockwise..I know its supposed to be like that..
