  • some sweet info here

  • i enjoyed this vid

  • Very enjoyable thank you

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • Two people are actually frogs!

  • I've met Andre Geim =)

  • The term graphene was coined as a ... and Department of Physics, Warsaw University announced a joint development of acquisition technology of large pieces of graphene

  • Poles Contribute to Graphene Research

  • Polish scientists have made a considerable contribution to trail-blazing research on graphene that won two Russian-born professors working at the University of Manchester in England the Nobel Prize in Physics this year.Graphene is a material that could have myriad hi-tech applications and may even replace silicon in electronic devices in the future, experts say.The two Nobel Prize-winning physicists, Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov, first produced

  • it by decidedly low-tech means. They shared the prize for their work producing and characterizing the material.Polish researcher Włodzimierz Strupiński, Ph.D., worked with Geim as the latter was studying the extraordinary properties of graphene together with Novoselov.Strupiński has co-authored two of the Nobel Prize winners’ publications that will be soon printed in Nature Materials and other science magazines.A procedure to patent a method for the industrial

  • production of graphene is under way in Poland.

  • A big lobby, Prof CNR RAO was the right choice

  • This is incredible! Russia has always been better than the US in my pov. And I aint even Russian!

  • Please.

Stop arguing in bad English. Take it elsewhere in your own tongues.

    Thank you.

  • Wow

  • He was born in Russia and study in Russia too. He finished Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology

  • we still need to make the fist full wafer of graphene that is scalable. Carbon has amazing physical and chemical properties; it is the materials of life.

  • In Soviet Russia, graphene discover you!

  • @trifector65435 In Us inane senseless stupidity has discovered the majority of population.

  • @joejoe4812 In where Joe Joe is from, they no discover sense of humor yet retain an arrogant, presumptuous, unbelievably ignorant and hierarchical stance against a country that he only learns about from extremist comments on youtube and ungrounded statements/assumptions by his selection of media sources!

  • i hate it when the uk and usa wanna take all the cred like now they say it so u think the scientists both work in a lab in the uk while endrey geim works in the netherlands the worst part is they dont lie but bend the truth so every 1 still thinks what they want

  • hände d i sverige??

  • @Petegrin1 nobelpriset är svenskt.

  • can they really levitate? Magnetic levitation! Whoo

  • It's mainly the Peace and Literature prizes that are controversial, for obvious reasons. Other than that, the Nobel prizes are decent and very prestigious regarding the Sciences.

  • @tung2sai or not

  • @tung2sai actually the nobel prize for sciences are very controversial also.

nikola tesla was one the most famous and prestigious inventors of XX century - actually he did the XX century - and the nobel committee never gave him a the credity that he really deserved.

  • to igorvasilevsky, he is Dutch but he was born in Russian

  • How much is the Ig-Nobel prize?

  • Wait till u have a carbon molecule thickness as your pc screen. An ultra-effective solar cell. A super tissue to clean your ass. Hey, I just invested !!

  • Ariel Sharon also happen to have won a nobel prize of "peace"

  • is she trying to imitate stephen hawking?

  • good job dorks!

  • These guys should have gotten a billion instead for creating Graphene... most ppl don't realise that its one of the biggest discoveries this century.... all our electronics will be based on it soon.

  • It is hard to convey the ingenuity behind the ideas of these people. A Nobel prize in physics is not a joke just because you do not understand the reason it was awarded. You ungratefully sit on the products of past Nobel prize winners, and I imagine that they only ask: "Shut the fuck up and bag my groceries you simple fuck."

  • this may be the missing link to bullet proof humans also assmbling the graphene through A sterling weld of nanotubes suspended in a fluid tracked by a laser eye

  • I agree MutantKush but you have to admit, this graphite thing is pretty cool.

  • @quester7000 It's not graphite...read the title of the video. This makes me question the validity of your agreement with MutantKush hahaha

  • I was thinking it would go to Bush or some other monster.

  • These prizes are awarded like candy. Meaningless. The money would be nice however.

  • I thought the EU is banning nano materials while here they are giving Nobel prices for the same materials - what idiots.

  • Earth means Dirt. Graphene is created from Dirt.

    Graphene Sword= Earth Sword

A sword that weighs less than an ounce (or even a gram).

So thin, that if you looked at the blade edge on, it would be invisible.

So strong and stiff, that you could use it as a lever to lift a car.

So sharp, that if you grabbed the blade, your fingers would simply fall off.

So durable, that it would never need to be sharpened, ever.

The blade would be impervious even to lasers.

  • @eclecticshaman You are joking right....?

  • @DSBrekus This is not a joke. The use of and desire of Graphene is growing tremendously in the international arms markets.

The creation of lighter and tougher vehicles, bullets and swords is only the beginning to what Graphene is capable of.

  • @eclecticshaman Not it isn't and you just made all that up!

Perhaps you are confusing graphene with carbon fibre?

And who the heck uses swords anymore, I have a sneaking suspicion I am being trolled.

  • Nothing like a frog powered jet pack.

  • All I heard was - magnetic frogs

  • atom thick materials pretty impressive but lets face it, his career clearly peaked when he levitated a frog

  • Got to love levitating frogs.

  • That would make for the world's thinnest-ever CONDOM! :D

    Trojan, are you getting this?

  • YES, YES, YES!

this is going to be seriously amazing. they deserve it. graphine chips can potentially increase computing speeds 100 to 1000 times.

    that’s 300ghz to 3terahertz. fuck yar.

i salute these men. google an article by h+ magazine to learn more.

  • @tekfunk Cool lets hope Microsoft dies now.

  • Nobel Prize has ---NO VALUE--- anymore .....the criminals are winning the prizes, like (american president) ,what he did and what for?

american zionists fucked everything up ... they did the same on U.N international law ... criminals are in U.N ..

  • lol

    when i read the title

    i thought it said

a Russian was born a scientist

  • Next: 1-Atom thick VODKA!!!

  • Slowly you guys will take your space in this world!

    The best wishes!

  • shame russia shame russia i am russian and i says fuck russia

  • @pavel280488AA

    You are idiot, not Russian.

  • Andrey Geim is a Jew.

    How surprising...

  • @rujtj And by attacking its Jewish citizens, Russia gets to lose them and their expertise to the UK. Smart move, Russia :-)

  • @charlessmyth

JEWS are responsible for thee GREAT CRIMES ie SLAVE trade, BOLSHVEITZ, HEINZ KISSENGER etc etc etc noble is rigged n black.

  • Чубайс, не спать!

  • The Peace Prize is the only useless one. The committee showed their incompetence giving it to Obamanation rather than others deserving it many times more.

  • I can't trust any awards after Obama won the nobel peace prize. -_-

  • @MutantKush i agree, Many of the awards seem rigged. 3rd up

  • >i agree, Many of the awards seem rigged.

Especially literature and peace prize awards.

  • Comment removed

  • @MutantKush the Nobel peace (pice of shit) price is given by the Academy of norway, stupid punks there. the rest is given by the swedish, who are not so stupid.

  • @MutantKush idk if i should up vote to agree with u or down vote cause i disagree with them

  • @MutantKush really, you don't trust ANY awards?

  • @MutantKush really, you don't trust ANY awards? even ones in physics?

  • @dbpsoccer121 Remember Dmitri Mendeleev?

  • @MutantKush How can you trust a politicized awarding body which denied the likes of Mendeleev?

  • @MutantKush Ah, the unhinged right-wing goon squad once again find a way to spew their Obama-hatred. 37+1 idiot and counting.

  • @jackusdk You have got to be kidding...

  • @MutantKush you cannot compare the peace prize with the other nobel awards.

they arent even given by the same commission

  • @lillskite I said I can't trust any awards. I did not compare the nobel awards.

  • @MutantKush well, thats true.

its sad and silly that your overall view of awards fell apart because he won the peace prize though. just sayin.

  • @lillskite Why? He obviously didn't deserve it even funded more war. Whoever owns the ceremony can choose to give awards to whomever he/she chooses so theyre all basically 'rigged'.

  • @MutantKush not what i meant. The prize is pointless since they have pretty much given it to people who dont deserve it instead of people who really do.

therefore i dont understand why we should take the award serious

  • @lillskite Oh gotcha. Yeah I never really took them seriously, I was just making a statement about Obama winning.

  • @MutantKush

Yeah but the norweigians where responsible for that!*_*

  • @MutantKush true...but i wonder how ppl forget kissinger's prize

  • @MutantKush haha same here

  • @MutantKush

You are so right. Even as a German, I don´t understand why.

  • @MutantKush ya obama doesnt deserve it but these guys most definatly do graphen is a big big thing that will change this wordld in a whole new way

  • @MutantKush The nobel peace price is given by Norwegians (not the same people who give the other prices). Get you'r facts straight before you start making claims

  • @HenrikAH92 What are you talking about? You make zero sense.

  • @MutantKush thats Norwegian people

they are not considered very smart by the swedish people

  • @RamaP94 Yeah but so what? I said I don't trust any awards.

  • @MutantKush fuck you

  • haha, check the woman jump her head while talking. itis sooo funny when you pay attention to it
