What really gets to me about Snape's love for Lily was that it was anything, BUT cheesy. Rowling may know a lot of things, but she doesn't know how to overdo it, which is something many authors (shoots glance at Stephanie Meyer) need to learn how to do.

@Abbiina: o.0 Anytime people are referring to HP they'll be referring to the books unless stated otherwise. The books and movies can differ quite significantly in a lot of aspects. Yet in this case Snape's last words in the books were in fact "Look at me" - before that he did said "Take it" though and since that was still in his last few breaths it doesn't bother me that much. ;)
