Edith Massey was a versatile actress, second only to Meryl Streep and Ethel Barrymore. She could have played ANY part from Lady Macbeth to Scarlett O'Hara.Edith,the world misses you.
I don't know. NO OFFENSE to Miss Massey, but....I don't think her acting is up to par in this. She works fine in John Waters movies, but I can see Paul Bartel's reasons for not hiring her.
i disagree. Would have been wonderful! I think Paul Bartel didnt want her as well as divine because he thought ppl might think he was trying to do a john waters film.
