@kleinesmaenchen You probably would have dumped your main like everyone else in this situation. Instinct reacts much faster than your concious thought does. Agreed that silver is the best route to go, but when your brain goes 'OH SHIT', normally the same handle you pulled the last 10-100-1000 times will be the same one you'll pull then.
Granted that after only just finishing my A. I'm no expert. I make his DZ to be approximately 2K' below the ridge he disappeared behind. Were I jumping in a basin like that. I'd set my Dytter's harddeck a bit higher. He would've heard his first & second alarm alts either way. So, I disagree w/you.

i propably wouldhave deployed the reserve. might hurt a little after freeflying but opens faster. have safe dives.
