my favorite tv show. and i watch a lot. the drama isnt over the top, the chemistry is subtle but still gripping, and the humor is witty, not sex-obsessed or slapstick like the humor most tv shows have. you must watch it!!
Guyz I watch bones and i must say i like mystery series and I've heard WONDERFUL things about castle and I think I am going to start watching it and I thought that I should ask u know for impressions and stuff.So is it worth taking up or is it continuous I mean in each and every episode it's the same thing someone dies lets solve it? or has character development builds up relationships and stuff like that?
@fringeisthebest it is definitely worth watching!!! i absolutely love this show!!! the murders and crimes are pretty interesting and different but what really keeps me watching is the insanely amazing chemistry between castle and beckett!!! it is soooo good!!! i love their witty banter!!! there has been a lot of character development, especially in the last season!!! and the secondary characters are great also!!! you should definitely give it a try!!!

Why is there no blood on the girl's body? The one in the yellow dress? She has a knife sticking out of her back - you would think there would be blood.
She was found in a pool. She could have been stabbed after death in which case there would be no blood. She may have been drowned, and then stabbed. There are several reasons someone would do this.
it's not a very original idea, yes i agree that there are a lot of show that are like this, but I've seen a few episodes of Bones and they really aren't similar, Castle has more comedy to it than Booth does. Btw, when Esposito said "Maybe he likes you," it was just to be funny, he didn't even know who Castle was.
but i do agree it's not the most original idea and the writers inspiration probably was sparked a little by Bones.
There are a few people I know who have given up on "Bones" after they saw that there's too much comedy in it that the dramatic aspect of it was lost. Perhaps this is an opportunity for them to watch something similar, and it could be nice...but I honestly couldn't watch it, being a Bones fan.
I thought the same thing when I first saw the series premier promos! Being a Bones fan, I was a little annoyed because there did seem to be a lot of similarities, but I've been watching Castle since the pilot and they are two very different shows! :)
I agree. It does incorporate a little bit of Bones, but think the plot is a bit of a spin-off of Murder She Wrote. It's about a writer who solves crime using her literature skills. Pretty much what Castle's doing. But Castle has a lot more humor and an actual detective on the cases with the writer.
Very good show though :) Good mix of humor and mystery.
I LOVE bones, but castle has it's unique spin on it, even though it has all the sexual tension and forensics stuff. If you guys are looking for something similar, DEFINITELY try BONES!

I don't care if they copied Bones slightly, this is a great show and I love the playfulness between the two of them - Castle is like a little kid following her around and an annoying one at that.
you'd be surprised how many shows follow that kind of story line.
man and woman who team up, but don't like each other at first....sexual tension. those sorts of things. it makes for a great story line, and this show is pulling it off.
Molly Quinn (Alexis Castle) just might be the hottest (and most beautiful) teen on television (she might be older but I can't find any birthdate for her). She looks 16. So far I've only found 5 pictures of her on the internet. She was in 3 theatrical films but I havn't seen them. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, The Sacrifice and My One and Only.
Yeah...this is Bones...but also Murder She Wrote. People copy, that's how it works. Before we write this off (no pun intended), lets give it a shot. The first episodes was pretty decent.

Bones has alot of comedy as well. I like both castle but LOVE bones! Bones alot of comedy, it is just alot of inside humor.
I think bones gets more serious than castle though at times, which may be where your going.

I LOVE bones, but castle has it's unique spin on it, even though it has all the sexual tension and forensics stuff. If you guys are looking for something similar, DEFINITELY try BONES!

what aired at that time/date/channel before castle? cause castle started in the middle of the tv show season, so it only has 10 episodes i the first season. what show did castle replace? (sorry i suck at explaining. i hope you know what I mean)

I watched this for the first time last week. As long as we don't have Firefly and Serenity (damn Joss Whedon always moving on) I will watch this for my Nathan Fillion fix. He may not have Serenity, but I see he's kept up the brown coat tradition. Hot hot hot!

But whatever, I LUFFS THE SHOW! When I first watched an episode (which happened to be last Monday) I fell in LOVE WITH IT! It was like love at first sight! The only reason you gotta love Mondays! ;D

I gotta say I am loving CASTLE!! The chemistry of the main characters and the relationship with his encentric mom and his mature daughter is intoxicating!!! I rush hom every monday so I can catch CSI-Miami at 7pm, so I can catch CASTLE at 10!!! Please let this season run, with no cancellations!

I don't care if they copied Bones slightly, this is a great show and I love the playfulness between the two of them - Castle is like a little kid following her around and an annoying one at that.

you'd be surprised how many shows follow that kind of story line.
man and woman who team up, but don't like each other at first....sexual tension. those sorts of things. it makes for a great story line, and this show is pulling it off.

Molly Quinn (Alexis Castle) just might be the hottest (and most beautiful) teen on television (she might be older but I can't find any birthdate for her). She looks 16. So far I've only found 5 pictures of her on the internet. She was in 3 theatrical films but I havn't seen them. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, The Sacrifice and My One and Only.

Yeah...this is Bones...but also Murder She Wrote. People copy, that's how it works. Before we write this off (no pun intended), lets give it a shot. The first episodes was pretty decent.
...they should definitely have a case with reavers.
