Another way to do this is to tap the control stick up and right after that tap the C-Stick down. If it is done too fast, you will end up Smashing Down. I'm just putting it out there because it is kind of easier to do.

I love doing these, I can do instant combo's (down-b, side-tilt, down-tilt) and then sometimes b-forward chain grab and ganon storm as a distraction.

Just jump and press down A just as you jump But this is a pointless skill if used repeatidly but usefull every once in a while cause if you keep doing it It's predictable :P

It's called a short hop. If you press the jump button and release the button before the charachter actually jumps, he/she will do a short hop. Combined with certain aerials, such as Ganondorf's down-air as per this video, short hpos can be VERY useful.

Another way to "thunder stomp" as trashydrummer calls it is to short hop, then press down on the c-stick.

Also, Ganondorf has more landing lag if he lands in mid-down-air

Uh, yeah you use other methods of attacking when your opponent is in the air. But this move gives Ganon nearly uncompromised ground superiority if used correctly.

He's just displaying it simply here, using it correctly would be Thunder Storming into someone and then the instant they shield or side dodge, rolling away all in one fluid motion. It can be done and is rather easy.

um...i'm saying this without going back and double checking, but i'm pretty darn sure that falcon can't do this. at least not in the same way. the physics on his spike are way different, and much faster.

Yes, it can. Hold down on the control stick and then press C (or whatever you put as the jump button) and IMMEDIATELY press A (or whatever you put as the attack button!). Note that, when you press C, you have to press it quickly, otherwise it will be a full jump.

In other words:

Hold Down > Quickly C > A

When doing this on GC controller, I think that it is easier to press X instead of Y, sliding the thumb to A.

are you talking about in training mode or against an actual player? it's a lot harder to do against someone who expects it; a 3-4 hit combo with this move against a human i'd say is pretty good.

Instead of jumping the highest distance he can jump, I short hop then d-air.

Absolute 4 stars at least. Only thing that could have been better is if you could have shot the controller demo with light. I may have uber ninja vision that doesn't help me when the screen is dark.

Other than that this is an amazing vid demonstration of an amazing AT.
