Do you have the firmware for the controller?....He has some .asm files listed but no compiled code....

The .asm files are necessary because you need to alter 'Setup.asm' to put in your IF added to the lower band edge frequency (and other info). The default is for an IF of 10MHz plus 3.5 or 7Mhz. I used MPLAB and had no problem.
