I loved alot of Camus' work. The Stranger. The Plague. The Fall. I wasn't that crazy about the Myth of Sisyphus and some of his essays. I loved The Trial by Kafka which I could sort of understand. One of my favorite "scenes" in The Stranger is where the main character is talking about having shot this guy "and it was very sunny out, and I was sweating and the brine got in my eyes." Very uneffected. I realize this is simplistic but isn't existentialism "we create our own reality?"

I am open to all ideas and theory's and can completely understand and in some cases relate to yours. This reminds me of a discussion i had a few days ago about the "5 minute theory" Based around the universe being completely recreated every 5 minutes. To a closed mind that idea comes across as absurd but despite all my logical points there was no way i could prove that theory to be false as he couldn't prove it to me to be true.

But I see it as a necessary assumption, so it's an assumption that I make. From there I follow a philosophy of rational empiricism to derive beliefs from experiences. That's part of why I hold science in such high regard--because the scientific process itself is a codification of these principles. The scientific method is the ideal that I aspire to. So there you have my philosophy in a nutshell!

Don't agree with any of the idea's here. Things happen for simple reasons in the universe, the way to prove these crazy theories wrong is simply they are made up by a non-logical thinking.
