  • John Hoyt, an equally well-known charcacter actor, who specialized in "sourpuss" roles [like Charles Lane], was "Old Man Creedy" from 1975 through '86.

  • Ahh, Robert Tessier, thats the baddest cat in da joint!

  • In the '70s Midas ads featured a recurring character named "Old Man Creedy". I guess Lane's character here is supposed to be the '80s equivalent.

  • What a delight to watch today for the first time! Veteran character Charles Lane died only about two years ago...he lived to be over 100! What a career! And the late great Robert Tessier was a VERY underated character actor. They make for a charismatic team in this footage! THANKS very much for posting it for us to enjoy! :)

  • I believe Tessier was a decorated soldier during the Korean war and also an Algnoquin native American. You can see him with hair if you watch the movie The Deep.

  • @oeyesea I'll have to check that movie out. It's one I missed, plus I'm curious how Bob looked with hair.

  • The Midas man with the shaved head is Robert Tessier, played an Indian named Rudewater in the tv mini series Centennial, 1978.

  • and a biker in Born Losers with Billy Jack AND as a bare knuckles fighter in Hard Times with Charles Bronson and played the original Mr. Clean . He was one of the GREATEST charecter actors EVER in Hollywood !

  • Rudewater...what a terrific name!
