  • Any habesha, Eritrean or Ethiopian, can relate to this song. Most of our families are in their respective homelands. It feels good to go back home, but it is so sad to leave. Then to live in America or in Sidet period and not be able to see them everyday or help them like you wish you could because it is so hard for us financially--it makes you sad. Music has no boundaries. It helps us deal with rough times. We are a beautiful continent, Africa Unite!

  • I love the song .It reminds me my family

  • I'm a Brazilian guy in love with an Ethiopian girl. She's so konjo... One day we're gonna make cute mixed babies. Can't wait till she takes me to Addis Ababa. ;)

  • let me try to translate it ....After i went through trouble to cross the ocean, how can i return home empty hand. my exodus live will be meaningless if i have nothing when i return home. after begging god to give me a chance to better mylive... how can i return empty hand after so many years. . no i am going to endure my longing and pray for my family home. eventhough i weep with longing, i will dance (eskista) with joy when i remember all the good times back home. ... hope it helps

    I love his songs

  • beautiful song!! i love Teddy's unique style. not understanding a word of it though. i am somali and i adore ethiopian and eritrean culture, music and dance. much more tolerant and respectful than my own folks

  • @ghettosagal LOL What kind of a somali are you ?

    - You just made a fool of yourself claiming others culture to be better then yours.

LOL Abayo and you think the ethiopians like you for that ? Think twice.

I have nothiing against ethiopians other then those who kill and rape the somalis. The ethiopians are lauhging at you right now like go back to your own roots.

  • I love this song its so cool. it reminds me my sweet home Gambela ethiopia..?

  • i love this song

  • This song has deep message in Ethiopians society and it knocked everyones life experience, because of this reason the song is loved by all Amharic speaking population of 80 million and make this singer very popular. The song is so deep and touchy and make you cry. The song is all about the life of how it feels being immigrant.

  • i love this song its so cool. it reminds me my sweet home ethiopia. love u teddy and am glad ur aut of jail.

  • he ain't out of jail

  • good song love yu teddy

    long live teddy afro

  • teddy is like the ethiopian king tewodrose the second

teddy 1 yasere 10 amet yetaser

  • The New "Bob Marley" is in Jail.

Why would any one want to put this man in jail for charge, that has no merit.

"So and so, saw you driving in so and so date, and your car killed someone. "

The main wittness for the crown saw a BMW that looked like Teddy's car.

    Come on.

    Come on.

If this is justice, than there is no justice.

  • who is "Bob Marley"

  • It's your mother.

  • he is not only patriotic but also ethiopian hero, we will always love him and admire him.

    long live for teddy afro

  • cool song

  • every day its new. I LOVE U teddy

  • omg look link ETIOP2008

  • ohh teddy keep ya head up ..ur a great singer!!

  • teddy great citizen

  • idme yelemenku le inat na abate. Hagere etiopia imama egzehabeher yitebikish.

    Gegnoch ligochichish

  • Sedet is knowledge! Love is is pen!

  • I love this music. I don't know what it means, by the music is great. I have always been fascinated by your great country, but, infortunatley have never been. But it's time to move on - make amends with your cousins in Eritrea -and they will do the same too.

  • I disagree with those who think that it is not a good idea to return back home if you failed to achieve your goal, we need only to learn from our experiences either it is good or not . we need to forget the

" MEN YEGE LEMELES WEDE ENATE BETE " thing.

So if you listen to the great Teddy Afro, do not feel like you will never make it to home . yes you can go home and enjoy with the family your experience and your endurance and that you still believe that life is beautiful.

  • This song is 2remind us we are sons and daughter of kings n Queens, and now in someone elses land away from home and family! My heart aches and brakes when I hear this song!It dont matter how well u makin it or how hard u r ballin! ur heat longs for ur home and family!!The point is the mans heart aches for his HOME!! His mother! His family! So good for u if you out here in someone elses land making it. it does not matter! It is not your home! NEVER will be, never forget THAT!

  • sofyy- i agree with you " there is no place like home" but we do not need this kind of song to remind us or to make us to be motivted, most of us are away from home with our own will, no one holding us against,

  • This song makes me tear up everytime i hear it. N pleas stop hatin n fightin...n BYRNE76 ur only seeing the negative jus think... when i hear songs like this it makes me work hard...so i can go back home sooner than later...this are the types of songs we need to listen to keep us motivated...THINK POSITIVE

  • lyfechnge-what kind of positive word can you see from this kind of sad songs? i am not lowering your comment, you have got a good point but most of us are doing much better then those who are at home,we really don't need to hear such sad songs to motivat us.

  • This song has nuttin to do with us doin better than those back home....it jus to remind us of our culture n tradition...we jus got two different points of views... no disrespect...i c ur point

  • -lyfechange-even if you lower my point i would still accpet it,you sound great and please keep up with your comments on other singers and songs as well,i am out here to learn from a good mind like yours, we agree to disagree and it doesn't matter, we both love Ethiopia,,,

  • me not worship him, he is a human being like u n I. I worship only our god in heavens but at times i do feel that ur comments are not matured enough to be arguments to hate someone's art.

  • --- i just don't get the message of this song it is full of bullshit, most of us left home for better life and we are not doing bad, people like "Tedy Afro" making money out of us by trying to move us by singing such kind of sad song,i am not that moved,

  • u are jerk.

  • & U ARE ARE (KAKA)FWE THINGS

  • yes, u are right!

  • U KAKA

  • --yesstillalive---finally there is some one like you who agree with me,songs should be to make us stronger and to enlight us not to remind us the good we left behind and to make us shade tears,"people like Taddey" don't even care what we are going thorugh as long as they cash out of us,sad but true-

  • man can't u live with out commenting to our vidios. man do u realize what the fuck u talking about? bloodclid man u guys r with retarded mind

  • --Abenezer2008-you have got a backward Ethiopian mind, why should i like "Tedy Afro" who the hell is he that you speak his behalf?he doesn't even give it shit about you even exist, you said i am retarded,it is only because i have spoken against the one you worship,

  • Hi

There is no doubt that Teddy has changed the image of ethiopian music history. His musical success has been credited to the powerful messages conveyed through his songs.Heis successfullin breaking artistic boundaries and in addressing those issues which has never been touched. He tought the people and mostly the government about compassion, courage forgivness and love.

  • "Yeraswa syarebat yesew tamaselalech":) I'm always amazed when I see Eritreans comment. I'm sorry you speak Amharic instead of your own language. I'm sorry most of you have good memories of growing up in Addis. See a therapist and get it over with. Also, do your country a favor and stop showing your ignorace to the world.

  • Jesus (the world saver) tried to teach you by being born in Barn is it is Ok to be poor than a wealthy. We give all what we have that is our culture. Do you know refugee from Europe were given a place in Ethiopia. You don't understand us and our culture. We don't worship money like many country does, we only worship god.

  • I was just wondering, does ur comment has anything to do with the song ? The fact Ethiopians are poor does not let them hate their culture or their identity. I am not Ethiopian or Eritrean but i think u r so rude.
