Why do you hate Marle so much? She has Haste which is an awesome support spell. Plus she enables Ayla to perform Twin Charm which lets you get a ton of speed, strength, and magic tabs as well as countless rare items from enemies and bosses.

Frog was actually in my final battle party. I had Magus casting Dark Matter (gold studs), Crono using buffed up physical attacks (Rainbow and the prism shades) and Frog basically just casting Heal (also gold studs, I charmed to get them. Great items, IMO).

IF that's IF you've the oringal Chrono Trigger game guide from Nintendo Power OR go to Nintendo Power's web site they even state that Frog 'n' Gleen are both the same characters, 'n' IF you paid an verey close attention to the chat in between Magus 'n' Ozzie that even tells you what ''n' who they are as well, 'n' about what's in Chrono Cross is an major typo error that wasn't fixed at all before that game was released into the rest of the world b'cuz of an mistranslation!

-The cutscene in CT showing Glenn changed into Frog

-Frog calling out to Cyrus' ghost, saying it's Glenn

-If you defeat Magus in the Dark Ages with Frog, the curse is reversed, and you become Glenn again

-The King and Queen in 600 AD addressing frog as Glenn

So you can see that Glenn is Frog, and CC was probably a misinterpretation/mistranslati­on.

@darkdragonforever Better than that: Crono, Ayla, Frog. Ayla and Frog have one of the most powerful and cost-effective healing Dual Techs in the game, Slurp Kiss. It cures a TON of HP for the cost, and restores status to boot. Add to that Crono's powerful Dual Techs with both of them (Volt Bite comes to mind), and this team is (typically) my end-game party.

Interesting note: Those illusions you encountered in the Flea hallway are supposed to be of the person the characters care about most. Crono sees his mom, Robo sees Lucca (she fixed him after all) , Frog sees Leene, Marle sees her dad and Lucca, for some reason *wink* sees Crono.

And did anyone else find it hilarious that whenever Flea blows a kiss the target becomes confused?

Now, I was never really shocked too find out Flea was male, mainly due to his sprite being fairly ambiguous...but his official art...that proves my point that ccrossdressing males ARE in fact drawn as females; my proof? his face is drawn like a female's (Toriyama's faces are easily recognizable). The only reason Frog's Heal isn't as good for you as Robo's is because you've been spamming Magic Tabs on him.

Honestly, I don't think any one character is super overbalanced in this game. Maybe Lucca is UNDERbalanced, as I still can't see any good use for her other than the occasional fire-weak enemy.

4:52 no kidding, i loved the ds version of final fantasy 4. i bought it for my oldest son, so he could finally understand why i loved the older ones, he was really psyched about playing it, and it felt really good to pass along a gem to a new generation of gamers that otherwise would have never known the gem that was final fantasy 4, the ds is a great console and the graphics on 4 was just.. amazing. i loved seeing it in 3d!

Chrono Cross has nothing to do with Chrono Trigger. I think there are maybe two references in the game, but other than that, it's basically to Chrono Trigger what Xenosaga is to Xenogears.

what happened to schala was explained in chrono cross, and they try to explain and clean up the storyline from chrono trigger, and you see lucca in the game, who takes the main character under her wing, and then there's the rebirth.

imo without chrono cross we wouldn't have known what had happened, so while not technically being chrono trigger 2, it was the sequel, and did have everything to do with chrono trigger; without it, it wouldn't have been made.

I usually give Crono the Rage Band, so he'll counter-attack the fake flea's attack and not get MP busted. The battle is short enough that not having the SilverStud won't be a big deal.

Although Frog and Glenn aren't the same person, to think all the similarities they share. They even are the only ones to use a legendary sword that not by coincidence are oppsites between themselves and lived by the shadow of another person (Cyrus and Dario). But they are not the only ones, you can find similarities with the other party memebers with the ones in Cross. Ayla = Leah, Robo = Grobyc, Lucca = Luccia, are just some examples (okay, more like half of them).

the only part i have a problem with is comparing Lucca to Luccia, granted they are both scientists, but each was different in their field of interest. Lucca worked with advancing technology, where Luccia worked with advancing biology and genetic mutations. Also, Lucca is mentioned and referenced within the game as it is, as Chrono Cross is merely a parallel to the Chrono Trigger timeline though set 20 years later.

Corection about Frog-Glenn relation. Frog lives in 600 A.D., and Chrono Cross happens in 1025 A.D. So they are separated by 425 years.

My friend also been fooled by the names, thinking that Glenn from CC is Frog, but of course there is way to big time difference. Unless Frog could live that long. Still Glenn has a family that lives in around 1000, so definete nail to coffin of Frog=Glenn(CC) teory.

I have one question, are you planning to use Ayla in the future? Couse her Charm tech can get you some pretty good stuff from bosses and enemies, and it will work even better with Marle in your party aswell couse then you can use Double Charm wich increases the % of getting the items, and if you combine that with the accesory that increases the chance of Charms success, it very rarely fails.
