I listen to all kinds of metal, but obviously that's just a matter of taste since some people don't like it and rather listen to rap. @Chopperdog329 Firstly, learn to classify your genres, this isn't screamo OR death metal, its groove metal. Second, hiphop can barely be called music. Wanna learn how to make hip hop? Guy who can barely sing + autotune + gay computer-made beat. Wanna know how to make metal? Learn an instrument, learn about music, then make music, using skill that hiphop doesn't have. I bet anything that hiphop artists know next to nothing about music (time signatures notes scales etc) that LoG has to.

Hip-hop has gems like Immortal Technique and Mos Def along with crap like Soulja Boy; in the same vein metal has plenty of bands with throwaway lyrics (early Acacia Strain comes to mind although they've improved), along with great ones (Mastodon, Between the Buried and Me). As Jay-Z himself said, "I just believe in good music and bad music... I don't believe in the lines and classifications that people put it in".
