When I first watched the trailer, I didn't expect much. I saw Team Ninja X Nintendo, which is multiplication (I guess Addition wasn't good enough lol) I saw space, and began to question what game can this be. I saw a blonde girl, could it be? no, it can't. Then the man said "Any objections lady?" And I immediately recalled that quote from Metroid Fusion. I didn't believe it at first, then I saw Zero Suit Samus then the title "Metroid Other M"!!

My First reaction was "HOLY SHIT!!!"

i'm a old skool metroider... back when NES, was out metroid one.....

then the greatest metroid of all time was realeased sometime in 1993/94 ish and that game was imense.

2D is what metroid is about, 3D is just not its natural and superior platform.

my first metroid was Super Metroid, and after I beat it I went back and played all of them so I know what you mean but I gotta say though....Metroid Prime is excellent. Not sure if you played it but at least the first one is worth playing.

i guess im kinda FPS'd out having grown up on Wolfenstein 3d and every incarnation since even the action adventure ones just blend together after awhile. Doom Turok 2, 007 Goldeneye. Postal 2 Quake Halo. Unreal tournament,though i like those games alot, sometimes that view just doesnt suit other games.

We needed a 2d Metroid using current technology Prime was cool in its own merits, but the feel of Metroid is better in 2D. I liked the GBA Fusion and Zero Mission better.

Super Metroid is so awesome I dont even feel the need to mention it. Its just that badass. I remember spending the last bit of money i had to get a copy of the game, when i first moved here, I played the living hell out of it until i got 100% I still play the game once in awhile. Even by todays Standards Super Metroid's Graphics and Gameplay are top notch. It was the reason i liked Castlevania Symphony of the NIght, because at the time Nintendo wasnt releasing any Metroid games.

Im a little scared that this game will be more action-based than exploration....

YOu know....GOOD POINT!! This could explain how the X-Parasites began to pop out in a more detailed fashion than fusion. SA-X....it makes sense (well that was a infectious parasite against Samus using her DNA for a body, but w/e). Either way, Adam was only seen in Fusion (I think) or heard of (more like), and he is in this video, and the fact that you brought up the cloning lab.

But we do know, the prime series was before Metroid 2. My guess is that this is after the prime series...maybe after metroid 2 (explaining "Other M." That could mean a lot though. Maybe there was more to the metroid from metroid 2 than in ONLY super metroid...or maybe Samus's mommy...or maybe Mother brain O_o)

Only 2 people have left in the last year, and that has happened before, nothing new for game companies.

The reason is they deserve a break from the series and nintendo may have wanted them to give another game their style of focus and they wanted metroid to have another focus.

It should be understandable that few companies will want to only work on one game all their careers.

If the company was the creator of the game it may be so as they have pride in its creation and the vision they started with, but Retro is not the creator of metroid and was simply charges with bringing it into the 3rd dimension.

They did it wonderfully for 3 games and now nintendo and i am sure they too, want to give them another project to work their magic on.
