An easy and very informative one to start with is "Triumph: The Power and the Glory of the Catholic Church" by H.W. Crocker.
You can find it on Amazon in paperback and you won't be disappointed.

Why do you presume he's biased just because of the book's subtitle? If I may say so, that makes you sound a little biased and perhaps unwilling to learn something about the Church.
If you want an earlier "non-biased" history of the Church I would suggest Eusebius and his "The History of the Church".
I thought you might like a longer list of histories of the Church to potentially peruse.

The photographers probably wanted some photos of Americans soldiers being being fired at. There is no problem or violation in this war clip, all fair action.

Do yourself a favor and read a good book on the history of the Catholic Church. You will immediately know more than 99% of the people in the world about this subject which confuses so many people.
An easy and very informative one to start with is "Triumph: The Power and the Glory of the Catholic Church" by H.W. Crocker.
You can find it on Amazon in paperback and you won't be disappointed.

First of all, Crocker is an historian and journalist who has written on American history, Robert E., Lee. Teddy Roosevelt and, among other topics, the Catholic Church. Why do you presume he's biased just because of the book's subtitle? If I may say so, that makes you sound a little biased and perhaps unwilling to learn something about the Church.
If you want an earlier "non-biased" history of the Church I would suggest Eusebius and his "The History of the Church".
