A woman has rights in America, and you, along with the rest of the pro-life group are denying women their right(s). Are you going to provide for those children, for the rest of their lives. If the doctor tells the mother the child will suffer, are you going to pay for the child's care and health care bills?
The child has rights too. the right to be born and live. Abortion is not birth control it is murder. A woman's rights do not entitle her to commit murder. There are people that would love to have a child, but even if that were not the case it would not make abortion ok.
Your point does have historical foundation, but it has no position when facing the Law. Our Constitution was established to protect the individual.

If a doctor determines that a fetus will be born with a life-ending condition, and suggests a late-term abortion, to save the mother's life, would you disagree?
When facing the true Law which is God's law, the only law that we will have to answer to when we stand before Him, he is clear on this issue.
To answer your questions, yes there are people that are waiting to adopt children.
The real issue is what sins are being committed that causes a woman to be pregnant outside of marriage. We can not cover up the results of sin with a greater sin.
As far as medical conditions we have to trust in God. He is in control. There have been Dr. that say a baby will die and the mother is in danger and gave no other option but abortion.
And today there is a healthy baby and mother alive today. Dr.s do not know everything but God does.The real issue is sin and the esults of it, but to try to cover with a greater sin as murder is not acceptable.

The champion of the Hebrew people speaks to them to THEM about convenience and his horror.
Because YOU have killed YOUR OWN children and unborn, I spew you out of my mouth (throw up) and He goes on to express his anguish.
In anceint times and today, people have commited infanticide because a child was imperfect or they didn't have enough to provide the child.
The Romans and so many more practiced it.. Not the Hebrews. Causing their hero anguish was cruel.
