My walmart will make me bring the ad to do the price match. I would think the cashier would need to know that the item is on sale at that store for the same week. I mean I could make a big lie and say oh well this store has Pepsi 2 litters for $0.59 and how is the cashier is suppose to know without seeing the ad.
Although I believe it isn't difficult to get Walmart to pricematch I have a feeling if I were to try that here in NY I would have to wait for a manager and the whole process might take like 10 minutes. This isn't to say what you said is incorrect.
please remember that if you want more then one of any item sometimes you will need the aid.
