The Italian reporter Lorenzo Cremonesi claim the figures to be in the range 5-600 and the majority is young men in Hamas ranks. 'course 500 dead is awfull, 50 would be awfull too, or horrendous, since death by war, especially civillians is horrendous. But, my point was a reaction to your wording about total bombardment. If that had been the case, IDF could have laid waste to all of Gaza and every single life. They did not. Instead they tried to avoid civilian cassuallities to a great extent, while Hamas target Israeli civilians and use their own as sheilds. That's a huge difference and I felt your remarks distorted that.

Israel has killed 4 of its own soldiers. The crime is manslaughter...not friendly fire...not collateral damage....its manslaughter.

If Israel believe in total bombardment, don´t you think there would be more death´s in Gaza. It´s like the colonel say´s: It´s a tragedy when people die in war and war is caos. (bumping the subject so to say...) Thats actually a really good point which shouldn't be thumbed down.

But keep in mind that it's harder to grip and feel for 13 dead people than 500. It's not because of racism or biasing but for the fact that when the deaths become too many it just become statistics. This is true because:

If one person is killed, you feel for him/her, but you don't feel a million times more if a million people are killed somewhere. It just becomes horrific..Do you get my point?
