i've always noticed that sonu says rafi, kishore and manna dey

doesnt say mukesh OR mahendra kapoor i guess he liked manna dey a lot as well...

all the excuses aside... guess what Sonu Nigam does when he is nervous or anxious? His tempo speeds up. Remember his first time on the stage of filmfare awards ceremony?

I totally agree with you. I don't know if it is the nervousness or something else, but at so many places during this concert he has speeded up the tempo or completely ignored the beat.

also if you ppl want him to sing like rafi...unfortunately it will not appear in rafi resurected as the positive reason for it i hav already given below in my previous comment...for that u hav to listen rafi ki yaadein album series or kal aaj aur kal rafi...

all the ppl round here...let me make u all knw that fact why all these songs hav high tempo as compared to original...well sonu nigam in his interview stated that he done this album as a tribute to rafi saab bt in a way so that boys gals and ppl in new era can knw greatness of rafi sahab as they hav fast pace life nowdays...and sonu nigam sang it in the style the listeners want song nowdays...he had to balance the whole track taking care of todays ppl with due respct to old song...:)

It seems like sonu has become deaf while singing "Pathar ke sanam". Orchestra is playin at original tempo, n he's just flying away, specially in the mukhda. Too bad.

sorry guys, but sonu range is very limited. he at times sings with his nose and give to much modulation, murkis and all to the songs. Why cant he sing simple. In this song he is running away with the track. it would have been much better if he would had sing this in the way Mohd Rafi sang. No intention to hurt any body. LOL.

itne bare singer ki copy woh bhi live aur woh bhi itna acha. ppl just can talk but cant imagine how much it is difficult to sing the song of Rafi Saab. Sonu Nigam is a such great singer. Sonu will be remain in the heart of all as Rafi Saab, Kishor da and Lata G are in our heart for ever......

Really great singing.

Love the morden touch he's put in these songs.

Love the fact that he's singing in his own style.

His Kal Aaj Kal Rafi albums were also awesome and he did them in M.Rafi's style.

He sings with his nose most times I think. He brings too much emotion even when it is not needed.

It's probably from his album singing. The original is 10 times better.

very good effort by Sonu on Pathar ke sanam. His effort on Kashmir ki Kali is pathetic. Orchestra is mind blowing. I'm sure if Laxmikant were alive, he would have loved this.
