I have so many favourite Arsenal goals but watching this brings a tear to my eye hahaha!! Martin Tyler made this so much better!! I remember watching this live, seems like yesterday!! Arsenal till I die!!!!!!
@TheJacoblar only played for arsenal and finished at arsenal!! arsenal's greatest captain so far and defender now we have vermaellen to do the job and he is brilliant at it :D
It was the last day in a season where Arsene Wenger had come to Arsenal and completely changed their style of play from a side very negative and defensive to a side oozing with flair and skill. Tony Adams was never known for his skill or finishing but Wenger converted them into a mini Brazil and finally dislodged Manchester Uniteds dominance. This goal summed it all up.
what a goal from the complete arsenal legend. The goal was one that had the ingredients you wouldnt see with our weak arsenal team of today. Strong challenge by parlour, long ball from bouldy and adams blasting the ball from the edge of the box. Direct strong football......ah those were the days!
Some say this (/watch?v=un43ZP3aiS0) is the original commentary for the game and this one is recorded afterwards to "spice it up". I saw the game live on tv, but I don't remember if it was this one or not, I belive this is, but who knows. Long time ago.
My favourite Arsenal goal of all time! Everything is just perfect. The through ball, the finish, the crowd going nuts, the commentary is just perfect, Adams' celebration, the goal that put the icing on the cake of Arsenal's first Premier League title win.
As an Arsenal fan, this is in my eyes, the perfect goal.
Possibly my favourite goal ever! I mean, Tony Adams making a blistering run through the defence before hitting a left foot volley into the corner!? No wonder Martin Tyler asked "would you belive it?" :-p
I remember this day. I was a season ticket holder standing on the Clock End... The place went absolutely mad. You could feel the concrete shaking as a huge roar came from the crowd, and the deafening singing afterwards.
"Would you believe it?!" I think I'd say the same thing if I saw a centre back lobbing a pass for another centre back to run onto and slot home. I don't think it's been done before or been done since unless someone can name an example.
AND IT'S THOMAS VERMAELEN.. PUT THROUGH BY LAURENT KOSCIELNY! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT!? Nope. Nicklas Bendtner blocks it on the line. Nevermind.
