the thing i like most about Tony Jaa is the angles he hits people from. he hits you in such weird ways and from directions and places you'd never expect to be hit.
His moves is fast, his agile, and flexibility skills is second to none. His kicking and punching skills is new and unique, compare to all martial arts past and present. I like how he jump, suppose to kick with one leg and flip and kick with the other.
watch move of Jackie chan video when he was young....some an actor and a stunt man..jackie can fight plus fall....i never see Tong Jaa fall..all I see is how he hit other to make others fall...he is an stunt man plus actor..also Jackie can fight too..when he was young..dont talk about now..he could be my father even grandfather,my friend
oh my god u can barely see but eveyone he is fighting are wearing protector vests...u can see their box shape chest and u can see that there is cushion...hahaha
yea i dont get how they are taking it to the head..
as i've noticed i think he is hitting them with the end of his tricep muscle and not the elbow...BUT i have scene a guy get hit directly with the elbow...i dunno xD
Tony Jaa is not a master of Muay Thai. He only learnt it for a year to use it in the movies. Sure he won 5 Muay Thai fights, because of his physical attributes, he was stronger than all his opponents. None of his opponents are masters of the art. He acquired his acrobatic skills by emulating the moves of Jet Li and Jacky Chan thousands of times since he was a child and perfected it, at that time he did not know that his idols actually used wires - his own confession from his biography.
Tony Jaa learned how to do flips and acrobatics without wires or special effects because when he was a kid living on a farm. He saw old kung fu movies, but because he was young he didn't know that they were on wire. So he tried the flips himself and acttuallly did it!
Much credit due to this artist. Simple as no q's asked. No strings no wires, no CGI, just demonstrating. Very few in the movies who do this nowadays, last i can remember is a chap called Jackie Chan.(Before Bruce) Crikers, before him no one else would know anyways. Tony is the future, accept or cling onto the past like marooned sailors to some driftwood.

dats rele fake, no one even attackin him or whatsoever. hes nothing compare to bruce lee. people just let him to demonstrate, not even doin it properly (try 2 attack him, just stand there let him doin all the attacks)
you can't even spell watch..lol..wach..wtf is that..i don't think someone as illiterate as you will be doing any thing Tony Jaa does any time soon my man.
hay guys sorry to break all ur bubbles but if u get the extra cd in the ong bak film u will see how good he is. the scene where he breaks the bottle with his elbow well that whole bit he used real props not fakes like all other actors. he did this too prove to ppl how good myai thai was lol u lot need to get ur facts wrights
well, he could easily kill like 100 people. He reduces power 'coz he's filming, not killing. That also means he's so good that he could control his motion and power so well..
your not very smart, he has been doing mauy thai for years and he practices every single day, he goes for runs every single day he has massive ammounts of stamina, he has never lost a fight either he has been in 5 and won them all. (check out this fan website google it)
if you look carefully, his fighting style leaves a lot of open spots. and also wouldnt be as effective in real life as opposed to the fights seen in the movie because in a real fight, people will not just be standing there to be elbowed, wait in a spot for him to jump on.. or even to throw themselves unarmed at him
It's not strictly muay thai, it's a mix between his martial arts knowledge (chinese kempo, taekwondo other than if I remember right) and muay thai boran: there's a lot of technique of this last one that there aren't in sportive "version"
you must not know anything about martial arts, Muay Thai is one of the more hardcore styles and kick ass. Ever heard of underground Muay Thai competitions? They often fight to the death, and the underground MA'ists would massacre most UFC Champions easy.
Dam not muay thai, muay thai learn the half shortcut step or competition muay boran is for self defence...people bet on the oppenent like $8000 and people bet 400 on you u give him 1 punch a 'jab' he faints why the fuck it use for man
oh shut up, i have watched dozens of mma fights and almost all of them put me to sleep- tony jaa makes it fun to watch. he is the best that i have seen at muay thai thus far period!
for how long someone does anything doesnt mean shit. it all depends on the practitioner. period. but being a martial artist would least be thinking of fighting someone for whos better. and tony jaa is a peaceful man.
If you want to see something fast look at some Jeet Kune Do demonstrations video, if you want to see something powerful look at professionnal MMA fights. I know that Tony Jaa is good, but this video doesn't show all his talent in Muay Thaï, just that he is good at parkour.

All of the moves that has names is all from Muay Thai Boran. But his agility is from the other training forms as well.
Muay Thai is an adapt version of Muay Thai Boran. More like sport no deadly moves.
Just to save the practitioner's ass.
