Can you sand this? your has some defined lines from the plaster that I would hate on my Date Cosplay.

@VileMKII Really don't know!!! but make a little tryout with a small piece of plaster bandage! or you put a layer of fiberglas over the plaster but i think its expansive and not so easy to work with

@2FreakOnABass7 if you have all the things to build this helmet it would take 4 hours of work! depends of how many lacers of plaster you use! bu its realy fast and easy to build

thanx alot. im doing a project at school where im making a samurai helmet and mask.

so this helped alot with ideas. i never thought about using a builders hat.

and also how long would the plaster take to dry untill you can take it off ur face?

@Shazzashazbot can't tell you about the drying time it depends of how many layers you use! but it drys really fast!!!

@hackerhater it wouldn't stand a sword!!! its a helmet out of plaster! as much layers you use as hard it would be! if you want it as hard as metal, hm you should learn to be a blacksmith

@P3WNAGE Sure but plaster is really cheap at the pharmacy but newspapers wpuld work too but you should do a lot of layers to get it as hard as plaster

@cyrax037 ok know i get it! for the rest ähm let me say so i'm working on it! i will make it out of foam core board but i don't know how i can make it looke round in the front. i'm searching for some material that i can put over the foarm core board and that looks good!

i made a body out of cardboard you can bend it easy and just use the same thing you did for the neck protector but obviously bigger and paper mache is a good way to make it all stronger and it looks good anfter paint
