I was a JW till i was 16, then decided it was'nt my thing, so my parents threw me out of the house, it was like throwing a lamb into the lions den, but i survived, i'm 52 now.
This little boy reads very well. He is probably very smart. However, the JW discourage critical thinking and education beyond high school. No, they prefer to read and re read the Watchtower and Awake mags ad naseum. This little boy will be encouraged (pressured?) to get baptized at a early age. This is tanamount to signing a contract.....4 if he decides as a 21 year old he wants to worship outside of the JW's his own family will disown him.One cannot think 4 themselves as a JW

Actually this is the Ministry 'School', and the bible reading part is not so much a 'Teaching' portion, but helping the young brother to be an efficient reader, when reading the bible to different ones that he may talk to in the door to door ministry. Sisters also have parts, many parts also on this school, that shows them 'Teaching' a bible student or whatever setting they choose. Also demonstrations of effective witnessing at the door is normally given by our wonderful sisters.

I'm actually glad these videos are online so people can see what we do in our meetings. What you see is pretty much it. No chanting. No bombastic sermons. No politics. Just bible readings and talks. Our talks are always based on the bible. We do them twice weekly because we're imperfect people. Without constant reminders we could easily fall back into the world. It's a loving provision provided by Jehovah. It's his way of helping us staying on the narrow road of life. (Matt. 7:13, 14)
I think the misconception of Jehovah's Witnesses stem from the fact that many people know of "GOD" or at least the title "God" but many people (even those who own Bibles) have never heard of God's name - which is JEHOVAH -- In fact, have never read the name in their own Bibles! Of course, the name is Anglicized - and is taken from the Hebrew YAHWEH or the Tetragrammaton YHWH (Yodh-He-Waw-He). Sadly, the modernized Bibles have completely omitted - completely wiped out God's name from Bibles.

jus a word of encouragement we had a watchtower article just this past sunday titled "what sort of person ought you to be "and we have nothing to worry about.people believe we've been brain washed.. Ezekiel 33:33"And when it comes true-look! it must come true-they will also have to know that a prophet himself had proved to be in the midst of them"but when jahs great day comes people will know we werent wasting our time going out in the ministry it will be just like the days of noah.
@ajrpmai Of course we don't want to wish any ills on any one. There's a sense of urgency from the Faithful Slave that we need to quicken the pace of our ministry. I'll actually be sad when the great tribulation starts from the stand point that so many people need to be helped to gain and accurate knowledge of the Bible. As John 17:3 says "this means everlasting life there taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."
JW Kids are the most mature and happy kids you can find. Why? Because there is nothing better in this world than the instruction we received from the bible and not men. If more children would have the oppt to learn and apply the correct path, this world would be free of so much juvenile problems. KEEP IT UP young one.

What, with elders not acting on allegations of sexual abuse unless there are TWO witnesses to the act, children being discouraged from continuing in education so as they can carry out ministry, girls being taken into home tuition prior to their last year of secondary schooling, being told by the YPA publication to pray to god when you feel like masturbating, ridicule from school peers for a number of reasons - birthdays, Christmas, knocking doors, etc.

I grew up as a child looking at my grandmother, a Jehovah's Witness, go to meetings, and in service even with horrible health problems, including a hole in her heart. My parents who were at one time active witnesses, would allow me to go occasionally and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. I saw both sides. Now, as an adult, my parents are divorced, I have chosen to raise my children in the truth because I can see how beneficial it is to show our children the Bible. I chose the truth.

I am so impressed by them, their religion teaches good morals, teached them to work hard, and be lovers of peace. What is wrong with that?
@sofiamore There is nothing negative about haveing good morals, However when they are taught things such as denie blood donations even in emergency situations and that the whole world is evil and Jehovah will kill every one they know, and that there is no hope for us you know that this kids are not been taught right, trust me i was one of them, i still have good morals i have never tryed drugs or ever been involved in any kind of 'gang'. I have good morals and can now enjoy a birthday party.
It is because of the Witnesses taking such a strong stance against blood transfusions that there are now so many alternatives to blood that have decreased risks of infection, better recovery time and a greater chance of success. Not all cases are the same, but in one case it is. Jehovah's Witnesses allow their trained moral compass to guide them as well as Jehovah's holy spirit and prayers. Otherwise they would never be able to make such a difficult decision in the face of death.
@sofiamore Until puberty, teenage influence and a developed sense of reason that questions the world around them. Then they realise the only adults they are allowed to communicate with have consciously or unconsciously lied to them.

I was picked on when I spoke Jehovah's name, but I being taught the truth from my grandmother was able to reason with my bullies to show them the bible. Some children are taught to keep quiet, not to question, and to live as they are told by adults. In no other religion can a child teach you the same thing that an adult could teach you because they are taught everything the same and to the same amount of detail.
Aside from the shameful history of lies, twisted truth, and hurtful doctrines that the Watchtower has "fed" their people, the rank-and-file are just amazing in their humble and sincere zeal in serving Jehovah God, and in training up their children to serve Him, as well, to the best of their ability. The Watchtower training program is truly phenomenal, & if someday we all can come to a knowledge of God's truth, love one another, unconditionally, how wonderful that will be! What a SWEETIE!!

@cftTURN I am a former JW (never baptized, but raised one), and at the very least, I've never had a problem speaking in front of a lot of people. Other than that, being brainwashed from childhood that this is the ONLY true religion and not having the opportunity to refuse attendance at any age or experience another church - because Satan would know your mind is open to new things and could introduce sinful things into your mind (they really believe that) - seeing this actually makes me sad.

When I first started, I was all mono tone and mess ups. But through constant practice and 8 years later, I'm able to give readings that please both me and those who listen. Jehovah definitely helps those who earnestly want to make his name known! I couldn't have kept getting up on stage without his help.

Ive seen it!! My brother is married to one. We now are no longer allowed to see him, even though he isn't one himself. I know from many experiences JWs don't love anyone unless its another JW. Does Jesus teach about love in the Bible? Doesn't he say to love everyone?

I'm actually glad these videos are online so people can see what we do in our meetings. What you see is pretty much it. No chanting. No bombastic sermons. No politics. Just bible readings and talks. Our talks are always based on the bible. We do them twice weekly because we're imperfect people. Without constant reminders we could easily fall back into the world. It's a loving provision provided by Jehovah. It's his way of helping us staying on the narrow road of life. (Matt. 7:13, 14)

I think the misconception of Jehovah's Witnesses stem from the fact that many people know of "GOD" or at least the title "God" but many people (even those who own Bibles) have never heard of God's name - which is JEHOVAH -- In fact, have never read the name in their own Bibles! Of course, the name is Anglicized - and is taken from the Hebrew YAHWEH or the Tetragrammaton YHWH (Yodh-He-Waw-He). Sadly, the modernized Bibles have completely omitted - completely wiped out God's name from Bibles.

im sorry for those comments people. My girlfriend was signed on to my youtube account and she was looking at all these videos and shes convinced jehovahs witnesses are evil. i know they are not i grew up one and know they are the truth. my girlfriend thinks shes getting all this factual information about jehovahs witnesses online but shes being deceived into thinking they are a cult. i just want to be more knowledgable to really show her. sorry for the dum comment she left. that boy is so brave.

@ajrpmai Of course we don't want to wish any ills on any one. There's a sense of urgency from the Faithful Slave that we need to quicken the pace of our ministry. I'll actually be sad when the great tribulation starts from the stand point that so many people need to be helped to gain and accurate knowledge of the Bible. As John 17:3 says "this means everlasting life there taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."

JW Kids are the most mature and happy kids you can find. Why? Because there is nothing better in this world than the instruction we received from the bible and not men. What, with elders not acting on allegations of sexual abuse unless there are TWO witnesses to the act, children being discouraged from continuing in education so as they can carry out ministry, girls being taken into home tuition prior to their last year of secondary schooling, being told by the YPA publication to pray to god when you feel like masturbating, ridicule from school peers for a number of reasons - birthdays, Christmas, knocking doors, etc.

I notice you didn't reply in relation to the way in which JW 'policy' on reporting sexual abuse allows it to go unreported to the authorities, but chose to point out that 'children are a bit nasty sometimes'.

I grew up as a child looking at my grandmother, a Jehovah's Witness, go to meetings, and in service even with horrible health problems, including a hole in her heart. My parents who were at one time active witnesses, would allow me to go occasionally and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. I saw both sides. Now, as an adult, my parents are divorced, I have chosen to raise my children in the truth because I can see how beneficial it is to show our children the Bible. I chose the truth.

No. None of these things, I am a teacher and although not a Jehovah's witness I have noticed all of the children I've ever taught were more polite, more thoughtful, more eloquent, better behaved and just more respectful than any other children. I am so impressed by them, their religion teaches good morals, teached them to work hard, and be lovers of peace. What is wrong with that?

@sofiamore There is nothing negative about haveing good morals, However when they are taught things such as denie blood donations even in emergency situations and that the whole world is evil and Jehovah will kill every one they know, and that there is no hope for us you know that this kids are not been taught right, trust me i was one of them, i still have good morals i have never tryed drugs or ever been involved in any kind of 'gang'. I have good morals and can now enjoy a birthday party.

It is because of the Witnesses taking such a strong stance against blood transfusions that there are now so many alternatives to blood that have decreased risks of infection, better recovery time and a greater chance of success. Not all cases are the same, but in one case it is. Jehovah's Witnesses allow their trained moral compass to guide them as well as Jehovah's holy spirit and prayers. Otherwise they would never be able to make such a difficult decision in the face of death.

I was picked on when I spoke Jehovah's name, but I being taught the truth from my grandmother was able to reason with my bullies to show them the bible. Some children are taught to keep quiet, not to question, and to live as they are told by adults. In no other religion can a child teach you the same thing that an adult could teach you because they are taught everything the same and to the same amount of detail.

Aside from the shameful history of lies, twisted truth, and hurtful doctrines that the Watchtower has "fed" their people, the rank-and-file are just amazing in their humble and sincere zeal in serving Jehovah God, and in training up their children to serve Him, as well, to the best of their ability. The Watchtower training program is truly phenomenal, & if someday we all can come to a knowledge of God's truth, love one another, unconditionally, how wonderful that will be! What a SWEETIE!!

@cftTURN I am a former JW (never baptized, but raised one), and at the very least, I've never had a problem speaking in front of a lot of people. Other than that, being brainwashed from childhood that this is the ONLY true religion and not having the opportunity to refuse attendance at any age or experience another church - because Satan would know your mind is open to new things and could introduce sinful things into your mind (they really believe that) - seeing this actually makes me sad.

Awsome. I loved how you actually beat your chest a little bit as an emphasis. Keep on progressing! I love giving Bible readings and getting better each time. When I first started, I was all mono tone and mess ups. But through constant practice and 8 years later, I'm able to give readings that please both me and those who listen. Jehovah definitely helps those who earnestly want to make his name known! I couldn't have kept getting up on stage without his help.

I remember looking into my baby brothers eyes, how clear they were. the white of his eyes were as white as snow. he didn't have do deal with anything this world throws at us on a regular basis. I look back on that now and just wish the white of my eyes were as they were before. it seems that the more we are torn down by hardship, grief, stress, just imperfection as a whole, we loose that purity given to our eyes. it's like our eyes are a meter which measures our tolerance to opposition.

we love all people thats why we preach like Jesus did and show kindness to everyone at school and on the job even in the face of persecution. we hid jews in hitlers time and tutsies and hutus in that fight. where you get the idea that we DONT show love 2 people is beyond me.

Ive seen it!! My brother is married to one. We now are no longer allowed to see him, even though he isn't one himself. I know from many experiences JWs don't love anyone unless its another JW. Does Jesus teach about love in the Bible? Doesn't he say to love everyone?
