Second off, NPR is 'National Public Radio'. The point is to inform the public and provide cultural programs through free broadcasting. It receives grants and government funding. Over the years, both liberals AND conservatives have complained that it is biased in one direction OR the other.

There is no immediate reason to privatize NPR.
