I put this book right of there is Ian Fletcher's _Free Trade Doesn't Work_. Prestowitz book is filled with examples of the false doctrine of free trade and how this doctrine is destroying the country. Keep in mind that ramping up free trade is the legacy of Ronald Reagan's voodoo economics. Successive presidents are still practicing voodoo economics. BTW, we learn that America CEOs of are de facto emissaries of China because their plants are in China. The U.S. is pretty much screwed.
