Question, if you make your own actor, how do you make it so there is no white backround behind it?

@FemBadTouchTrio The fastest way (to me) is use Photoshop with magic wand and save as .png to erase the background.

Okay, so I was wondering. How you can change the screens and have a different looking one? Like with a picture or something? Same with the quit screen. Can you do it or is it impossible?

@MewPao If by "opening" you mean an opening video then yes, Novelty has great video support.

I just started making my own VN, but I'm stuck at the "actors", I can't find a tutorial on how to create an actor (not the character) to use...any help?

You don't have to use Actors in Novelty, but defining them will help Novelty help you, the user. To create an actor, simply place a character object, right-click on it and select "Create new actor". Then you can delete the character object since Novelty will remember it internally.

I am well aware of most problems when they exist. I'm not a self-congratulatory programmer at all and always find faults with my own work. I've had the idea for the Author mode for probably a year now, but I constantly have to prioritize with other things. Because I'm just one person working on Novelty these things can take time.
