  • lol the mysterious ticking at 4:15 really fits in w/ the situation. Are you sure that it's not intentional? XDDD

    Nice vid sir.

BTW, may I ask about how many days did it took for all these processes?

  • @riwjin LOL two days, start to finish.

    Dan

  • what did you use for the mold

  • Can you handle some hints? 1) I get a much stronger end result by using the foam itself as an added adhesive on a two piece job. Trim the two halves so you can properly align them, then bind them together with masking tape. Drill a 20mm hole on the underside, stand the job with the hole up the top. I buy pouring foam as two parts - mix together - and pour into the job 2 or 3 times until it overflows.

I cut 20mm tin strips to shape & stick to the die to get my flanges. Otherwise I use clay.

  • @GasserGlass Mock seems to be the more common term. Yes the mold was quickly made, and a bit flimsy, but it was not intended for multiple castings, and my time was very limited on this project. With the type of custom fabrication I do, this is usually the case.

  • @parrotpilot .... Then I stand corrected and will withdraw my former comment....There are many who look to learning how to do this stuff the correct way and only want the best results for our future fiberglass laminator/mold makers.... The wing is still a neat item, would have liked to seen it done for multiple pulls....Looks good... Carry On

  • Really excellent video. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

  • So, beyond the kit cost. There is a 1000 or more in part one and two resin, plus fiber glass. And cost to build the tables and ...what more?

  • Hey tnx a much i trying to find this kind of infos whole day.

  • lmfao at the porn music

  • @szpopho Does my music make you randy? LOL

  • @datzfast yes its freeey nice man

  • that sound didn't come out of you! it came out of the tube!

    probably

  • @sagabhcrew Um, yes, that's it, it came out of the tube!

  • Parrotpilot,

How was this mold laid up? Is it primarily bondo?

  • how did you put in thos mounting bolts?

  • After the wing halves where together, I drilled straight through both, then enlarged the top hole, put the bolt down through, and fiberglassed it in place. The top hole is puttied over.

  • 1:57 LOL

  • Must have been too many peeps watching this earlier.. Works great now :) Thanks for taking the time to put this together Dan, I really appreciate it :) Now I'm off to watch part 2!

  • What is wrong with this video? It takes FOREVER to load for me. Anyone else finding this too??

  • Does you computer use Microsoft Vista? Since I got my new computer I have learned to hate Microsoft!

  • i don't speak very good english, it's learned or learnt?thank you...

  • Learned.. I have problems with English too! It's a hard language to speak or learn!

  • I've seen it spelled both ways -- As an American, I can tell you that American English uses "learned," and so that's how I usually spell it, but it might be that British English uses "learnt."

    Dialects are so confusing...

  • excellent video, i learnt a lot !:D

  • Thanks, I learned a lot too!
