I hate this game. it was a gift, and I cant even figure it out. the instruction manual is just a comic book. I just tried to play a 2 player match with my son, and couldnt remember how we did it before. This game is that screwed up. we ended up taking turns in a tournament where you couldnt even pick your character... And the controls suck bad in my opinion, I always end up fighting in the wrong direction

I think you misunderstood, when I say "real" I mean the style of turtles we grew up with. It doesn't even have to be from the live action movies, even the style from the 80's or 2003 toon looked better. its style wasn't better just more aimed for today's children (3d graphics =/= best). Plus, style or no it was a "meh" movie and did nothing for the turtles. Why alienate the old school fans?

Of course not, because I was a stupid 10 year old who just thought it was cool watching them fight bad guys. I had no idea what was good story telling, cinematography or stylization.

I've rewatched all the turtle movies recently, and you know what? The latest one had an awesome first half that was arguably better than all 3 of the previous movies combined. To argue otherwise is just using the age old "classic" argument that has no rationality to back it up.

Sure it does depending on who you're marketing to. That I'm aware of, as much "style" as that movie had, it didn't really do anything for the franchise. It failed to really capture a younger audience as well as the people who grew up with the turtles. That being said, when you were a child, it amazed you right? Those movies really brought them into the limelight. Can you say the same about the newer movie? I ppl went to see it but it sure didn't have the same effect on children or adults

It ended up being just another movie. I'll give you that it certainly had a "look" about it. And I'll also give you it certainly didn't have the muscular look but more of a supermodel look where everyone was less than 100 pounds which is more in style with today's times.

But the first 2 better because they seemed more relatable with the times, this new one seemed like they took a random story and made it into a movie with a weak tie in to the first three...

I bought the game for PS2 the day it came out ( have a wii but the game for PS2 is identical and a hella lot cheaper) it fucking rocks! You can see the smash bro's influence alot. Have any of you haters actually have the game? This is not a rip off if the creators of SSBB helped to create the game. That is one smart move. Anyway, the gameplay can get some time to learn to. It is like Brawl but not one hundred percent. However, once you do know how to play, the experience is fun. This is a "almost" must buy. I hope a community forms and i want to go pro. The online is better than Brawl but it does lag. But not a lot.
