  • /watch?v=bKqO6gdJIz8 asian pilots

  • Engine failures are increasingly common with this failing airline. When the NEXT in-air emergency arises on a QANTAS Flight, I want a Professionally-Trained, Long-Experienced, Superior-Quality Aussie Pilot at the helm - & NOT a half-baked, inadequately-trained, inexperienced Asian scab pilot, as that incompetent bloody-minded ratbag Alan Joyce would have us accept.

  • goodness, it looks like there are holes in the plane. It really shouldn't be allowed to fly like that.

  • @tonkatsu123 bit late once its in the air and an engine explodes in flight

  • was this recorded using a toaster?

  • Learning from mistake, Qantas has chosen the General Electric (GE) GEnx engines to power its upcoming Boeing 787 fleet in mid 2012.

  • Bad Rolls-Royce company. They better stick with GE engines.

  • Maybe you can;t understand what the pilots saying because this dick has just filmed this off youtube! Haha, sad

  • Is anybody able to transcript all he is saying please ?

I understand words here and there.. but unable to completely understand his annuncement...

    Thank for ur help.

  • @iaf22 he said: "do apoligise, we have an issue with No 2 engine. We have dealt with this situation, the aircraft is secure at this stage, we are going to have to hold at this stage for some time, while we lighten our load, by dumping our load ( fuel ) and some checklists that we have to perform. as you can- im sure you are aware, we arent proceeding to Sydney at this stage, we are making our left hand turn to track back to singapore, and as we progress with this we will get back to

  • @holdenls1ssz250 with further information.

  • if i was on that plane i would worry that the damage would get bigger and bigger until the wing snaps off! or did he turn that engine off or something?

  • @superdave31 they couldn't actually turn the engine off. they tried, but the turbine blade that had blown out had severed all the major connections, as well as fuel lines, hydraulic cables, and punched a massive great hole in the fuel tank.

  • Was the problem in the Hi-Bypass fan, or the compressor itself?

  • I was in that flight that day .When i contact qantas, they said they do not have records of the people in that flight . if that flight ended up with a terrible tragedy what would be happen ?

  • i can tell you why qantas is having problems becuase the engines where manufactured in china and theyre planes gets serviced in china fucking disgraceful if you ask me !!! those werent original rolls royce engines probably something qantas will never tell you !!!

  • ladies and gentleman everything is safe and secure you have no reason to worry " looks to left: wing on fire "

  • Pratt and Whitney or General Electric are better engines....

  • @ClarksonsinUSA Yeah right. Inconveniently, they don't make them for the A380 though.

  • @grusl THAT WILL BE BAD FOR Airbus SALES...

  • @ClarksonsinUSA I don't think so, but it will defenitely be bad for Rolls Royce... Airlines will choose the EA engines instead.

  • @rfactormo those werent original rolls royce engines some company in china had the right to rebuild the engines but rolls royce have know stoped them from manufacturing those engines

  • @ClarksonsinUSA From where do you get this information from ?

  • I was flying to Sydney

  • I took QF32 in sep 3 !!!!!!!!

  • this is still the only plane marlin feels safe to fly on....

  • @MarIinTheTroIl f**k marlin

  • i was on this plane two years ago going to sydney....this must have been bloody sacry!!!

  • Qantas sucks so bad. I wouldn't be surprised if they had their PR agents straight on Youtube telling everyone that this is "completely normal". I will NEVER fly Qantas, every year there are several incidences of planes falling apart or system malfunctions forcing emergency landings. I thought they were supposed to be "safe"? Spoke with one of their pilots, apparently they can have a "100% safety record" if they can put the plane back together... Wow, Qantas you suck sooo bad.

  • @majikrush The engine maintenance is sub contracted to Rolls Royce, the makers of the engines for upkeep. As i understand it, this particular engine just went through a routine inspection and was passed. So in reality, it isn't the airline carriers fault, it could have happened to any air line. You do realize that Jet engines have a LOT of moving parts don't you? This just happens from time to time.

  • @130starfish Err, Qantas doesn't seem to just have problems with its engines. Every couple months, there is some part of their planes falling off. A quick google search will verify this.

  • @majikrush yeah - in 1998 i was on the runway at LA and the engine started smoking and dropping oil - takeoff aborted and we went to a hanger for 2 hours for inspection and then let loose - the captain said "Im comfortable flying on 3 engines" (across the widest ocean in the world). Since then i have noted every qantas incident and the count is now well over 10 - TEN!

I think its complete fluke they havent had a major crash yet. Qantas aint what it used to be.

  • @majikrush your a idiot mate qantas have the best pilots going if theres a airline id want to be on when theres an emergency then it has to be qantas

  • @TurbulentG Actually, "you're" the idiot. I never mentioned anything about the quality of the pilots. So if you can't read, or spell properly, don't bother offering your opinion.

  • "Ladies and gentlemen we're going down so smoke 'em if ya got 'em!"

  • This thing will fly on 2 engines, but they are having some type of issue with the motors.

  • BBC

  • I always hate the way they say' 'technical difficulty', people arnt stupid when they see bits of the wing punctured and flames coming out the back of the engine! But I guess you have to keep people calm and not say engine 2 has 'failed'.

I'm surprised no one filmed it from further forward or back on the plane so we could see the full front of the engine in flight (see if the blades are spinning or if there is a blade missing).

  • @TwentyEightySeven yes u have to keep calm, so i woudlnt tell things tht way. what i would do is explain what the difficulty consists of in simple terms and explain tht it is not serious enough to worry so much and ask people not to move nd keep calm

  • @TwentyEightySeven

It's to keep people from freaking out and going crazy. The pilot knows that he can run the plane on three engines, but the passengers probably will start crying.

  • It's amazing how during an incident people have the time and nerve to get the camera out and start recording. Don't worry about the evacuation, just keep filming.

Actually you should just stand there blocking the exits filming whilst people are trying to evacuate!

  • This looks like the handiwork of the monster that William Shatner and John Lithgow saw on their flights.

  • Love how calm the pilot is. I'd be like "WTFIGO" and maybe order another drink :-)
