Hey can Mac OSX be installed on the logical partition or does it have to be primary? (I have run out of primary partitions thanks to Dell using up the other 2 for recovery and diagnostics.)

@Firelitestar5210 if it's a retail copy then it should but before you go ahead with the process, make sure your laptop is compatible and they offer all the drivers for your video and audio and ethernet.

I've a HP Pavilion dv6, so, i cant go to SATA mode and configure it in the bios. This means i can not install it as it says i must restart my computer. I have tried safe mode, but still nothing. I have found the problem for my laptop, which is that I must switch in bios to AHCI, a vital step you missed out in this video. The only annoying thing is, I have a HP Pavilion dv6 and, as you may know, i cannot access AHCI enabler in my bios of the dv6. This is also a problem for the dv7 and above i believe. i now have a new "request" for you and that is : How do i switch my dv6 into AHCI mode????

Reply asap but if you think it is not because of the AHCI mode, please tell me ;)

After pressing f5 in iboot and inserting the snow leopard disk, i am pressing the install mac os x. After that, i am finding that the message: you must restart your computer. press and hold the power button and then press it again.

If you know how to stop this from happening, please tell us as i have would have wasted $30 on this.

@Stathubious well yeah it's a sign like "forbbiden", and i tryed iDeneb, iAtkos, normal MAC osx (from my moms MAC Pro) and i don't know the issue i tryed to install it with a "clean" pc (no os inside) and etc. don't know. you can try iDeneb it sould work if you burn it right. Hope it helps : )
