Hey man, I have watched these videos a few times. I enjoy watching you work. Was curious how these repairs have turned out now that it has been about 1 year?
@turbocobra The repairs are holding up good, the right front fender and wheel well are getting bad, I never touched it, hope to next spring, got so much to do I don't know.
I have to admit that watching you hand sand all of that makes me cringe. There is a single top secret tool that you can purchase that would not only speed that up 100x but provide great results. It is a electric hand sander made by ryobi, black and decker and a few others. It has a sanding face that is shaped almost like the face of a iron and uses hook and loop sandpaper. Get a stack of the heavy grit paper and just a few fine for finishing. It is a 30 dollar investment worth every penny.
@33600622 I had mentioned that in one of the videos on this series, I could NOT get the bumper iff, I bought 18mm high inpact sockets and had an 18" flex bar with a pipe, NO GO.
The bumper needs to be cut off with a cutting torch which I do not own.
It is amazing how factory the work looks after the bondo ..... looks like with much atten. to detail I would think you could do as good as job as the pro's but why ....as long as you get a sticker what the hell ......you are more creative than you think and that is fact ......dont bother saying thats kind words just know it !!!!!!
next time you got some sanding , hire a neighborhood l kid for an hour or so, might not be a great job, or the kid might have a knack, but at least you wouldn't have to do it (kids work cheap)
Hi Bill, back again and I enjoyed this also.I think you said Bondo glass seventeen times,i know you said Bondo a lot more.Hope you have a great week my friend. Two Thumbs Up. Jerry

@PwningMobile YES I bought on made by Skill, it has the same velcro stick on pads but it uses round pads.
I have seen the ones you have mentioned but I figured the round disks would work better.
I will be using it the next time I do sanding.
Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.

Awesome video! How much do you think a project like this costs? I need to take care of rust on my 1995 Ford Bronco.

Getting better with each coat for sure. Wow you can totally see the fiberglass fibers. I see why you want to finish with regular Bondo.
Redneckology 1 year ago
@Redneckology Yes you have to use the regular bondo for the finish coatings.
