  • screen resoluzion?1440x900? I am indecisive if buying new mackbook 15 1680x1050 or 1440x900 for 4 desk,1440x900 good?

  • @Wincent83 1440x900 is fine for 4 decks :)

  • @tehpsy ok thanks

  • hey man, could you say what you have mapped on the NanoPad, and what you have mapped on the NanoKontrol, what they are triggering etc? Ive got both controllers and am about to get Traktor so am looking for ideas for potential setups/usage of the controllers.

    Thanks!

  • nanokontrol:

4 of the faders control the 4 volume faders

4 of the faders control the 4 filters, with the buttons below each korg fader doing a toggle filter on/off

left hand 4 knobs and the 4 buttons below it are mapped to FX1 knobs and buttons.

right hand 4 knobs and the 4 buttons below it are mapped to FX2 knobs and buttons.

    nanopad:

i divided the 12 buttons into 4 decks, giving 3 buttons per deck. one of these buttons toggles loop on/off, and the other two decrease/increase loop size.

  • @tehpsy awesome thanks man.

Dont suppose you fancy sharing the mappings .tsi file?

  • tehpsy_settings.tsi.zip

    thx 5*s =)

  • sweet plant... haha

  • haha thanks... i forgot to water it for a few weeks though :(

  • soft lad!

  • Really cool... I got myself a nanoPAD recently and awaiting the retailer to re-stock the nanoKONTROL... =)

  • actually i've had 2 nanopads now and they've both had buttons eventually break on them, so im not too happy with them. but the nanokontrol is great :D

  • As you say... i also bought 2 nanopads... after 3 weeks they both started failing. One of them the pad failed, and the other nanopad failed with the buttons (they got ¨stuck¨ and autorepeated), so i got the good working parts of both of them and built myself a new nanopad... Was better for 4 deck mixing, you probably already know, now i have (we have) to deal with 1 nanokontrol and 1 nanopad instead of 2... (I had Frank Bash´s idea, so i bought two). Sweet mixing !

  • man u have helped me out so much just then, im saving up to buy traktor scratch pro, and ive been looking for a midi slave, i was going to get stantons DaScratch, but this is so much better for me. thanks bro

  • dude, sweet video. was the nanokontrol easy to map? you may not kno but do you reckon it would work well with the vcm-100?

    cheers!

  • do you mean the VCI-100? it should work well with that but you will have to change the midi channel for it because by default the VCI and the nanokontrol will both be on midi channel1. it's easy to do though with the korg software (on the korg website) but just do it before you map anything.

and yeah, it was extremely easy to map! the traktor interface for mapping is pretty good.

  • hi mate!!! incredible, nice to see this mix, very cool and sweet. Could you says me if you need a secondary soundcard to mix it? So, how you listen the song before you set it in the set? As I understand, traktor needs to have a second soundcard to listen the prev's of the songs to mix it... ¿Could you explain me how you setup all it? Because I can't see in you table a second soundcard, I see only a USB holding port's hardware and it connected to the Macbook. ;)

Thanks, and very nice and cool!!

  • i use a USB soundcard 'Audio 8' by Native Instruments. It has 8 outputs on it so it's capable of plugging 4 L+R outputs into a mixer, or you can just use the traktor internal mixer and just use one L+R output. there are many soundcards you could buy, but I wanted to spend a bit of money on this one, i think it cost me £300 or so. if you have any problems, drop me a line

  • Hi tehpsy :P thanks for the reply but that's late for me hehehe don't worry. Thanks for your help, finally I try to buy a M-Audio X-Session Pro MIDI mixer and the MAYA 44 as soundcard for Traktor and everything is cool =) thanks and excellent music man ;) congrats.

  • haha sorry about the delay in reply.. i didnt check my youtube for ages XD

  • nice djing
