I agree there are always 2 sides to any issue and non native species can be problematic .

I have no problems with hunters but I do not drink and drive or drink while I'm in possession of a firearm:)

I lived in the Adirondacks for 20 years near SARANAC LAKE.

We had Lesser Red Wolves,Back Bear ,Bob Cats,Lynx, Most of the Ferret Family,Foxes,the list goes on plus catamonts ...or panthers what ever name you call them by:)

We also had many predatory species in the mountains where we lived.

The biggest pests were the species not kept in check by natural predators:)

Oh and the biggest pain were human hunters that were 3 sheets to the wind:)

Natural Predators are great, but invasive species not so much. The Canadian timber wolves introduced into my area are a non-native species much bigger then the native mountain wolf. Allowing these massive timber wolves to spread uncontrollably is devastative. Luckily the states are allowing some control methods. But what do I know, just another drunk hunter.

After they took wolves out of Yellowstone and teh prey animal population couldn't stay in check, the enviroment was destroed becasue of overgrazing form animals that were once kept in check by the wolves. Do we really want that to happen again? Once more just throwing that out there.
