Actually it has been said that the people in Lombok are really nice.. A friend of mine has been to Lombok a couple of times and really bond friendship with the local people. I guess it is really up to you as a traveller, do you want to make the effort to open your heart, soak up your surrounding's kindness and be friendly to everyone you meet. Sometimes all you need is to do is smile

For erictjie..I was a tour guide for 5 years and had visited Lombok so many times. This island is beautiful and the people is very friendly..What do you mean the local muslims love stealing.......????? There are bad and good people EVERYWHERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even here in Colorado....hope that you aware of that man.....

Both, is not the same. Lombok is muslim people and Bali Induist. diferent way of life but both are incredible land and incredible country. Bali is good tourist place and Lombok good land for understand other cultures. I have learned many things in Lombok. Forguet all u know and open your heart to the local people. Very important to smile.

lombok is the best island. if you want a tourist holiday then visit Bali...if you want to get a real feel for Indonesian people then visit Lombok.

Better if you go to Bali, Bali is the one of the most popular destination ! By the way, i just take a look of this video comments, i have some question : why the Lombok local people are not nice ?

I just went to Bali last January, it was interested ! Bali is the place for the all of the world people come to there for having their vacation. The most commonly place to go in Bali is Kuta beach and Mt, Batur ! Visit my country, Indonesia !!!

Lombok people are poorer. Bali has a real buzz to it but Lombok just does not cater for tourists as much but much more beautiful beaches. If you go hire a private car and see some of the island, there are sandy beaches with not a soul on it, I went to one just north of the Sheritan where I stayed in August 2007, amazing.

the local are still very barbaric , then kill each other using primitive weapons and it is not safa like Bali at all. the local muslims love stealing. Iam sad to tell you the whole truth about my country and the rest of it execeptional of Bali.

Bali is our prize and it is our example for the rest of this nation.

Yes, lombok is friendly to foreigner. my objective comment is :

Lombok is not the place to go if you like vibrant nightlife,pub nearby, it's very quiet&peace.Let me start by saying that if you are the type of person who likes places like Cancun/acapulco --with the big resorts, nearby clubs, and a lot of tourist--you will dislike Lombok. But if you want peace, tranquility, and stunning scenery, Lombok is a truly a hidden paradise island.there a lot of great hotel too.
